The Accounts Payable Analyst's duties include processing invoices for payments, past due invoice follow up via internal resources, performing weekly and monthly duties assigned, as well as ad hoc requests and analysis as requested by management.

Position Responsibilities may include:

  • Review Invoices for accurate information and enter them in to Mapics Indexing them appropriately

  • Use the Auto-Match Query to determine whether to enter invoice long screen or accelerator. Vendors not on auto match to be identified and converted.

  • Reject any invoices with the incorrect information, providing the assigned buyer and supplier with the invoice requirements form and a copy of the invoice being rejected.

  • A minimum of 100 invoices to be entered on a daily basis, performance Metrix must be met to meet performance requirements or corrective action can be taken.

  • Reconcile accounts on a monthly basis. Obtain a statement in excel from vendors.

  • Use V-lookup and save a monthly copy of statements in the G drive using the naming convention of vendor name and the Month/Year format,

  • Request any copies not received in the system for both credits and invoices and process upon receipt

  • Give credits to corresponding Research and Resolution team member General Duties

  • Must work and respond to AP Analyst and AP Help boxes in accordance with the department policy

  • Must inform all with vendors about electronic invoicing and electronic payment options. Forward forms and/or applicable information to the corresponding AP Staff

  • Must respond to all inquiries from Manager or Supervisor within 24 hours and meet all deadlines set

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience

  • Encouraged to seek continuous improvements

  • Performs a range of mainly straightforward assignments

  • Works independently with general supervision

  • Problems faced are difficult but not typically complex

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, general ledger reconciliations, month-end closing and 1099 processing

  • Data entry and 10-Key skills with high level of accuracy and report writing skills

  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel to create account reconciliations

  • Working knowledge and abilities with the creation and maintenance of vendor master files

  • Strong attention to detail, analysis and problem solving skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with internal and external customers and employees.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills with ability to effectively prioritize and complete projects on time

  • Ability to use good judgement and strong work ethics and integrity on the job

  • Ability to learn new skills and further develop knowledge base in accounting/finance

  • The ability to work effectively in a high growth environment and a rapidly changing organization

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training in Accounts Payable

  • Proven experience using Excel to import/export and analyze data, use formulas, V-look-up, create Pivot tables, Graphs. etc

Pay range: $20 - $23 per hour
