Position Summary:
Pima Community College's Office of Sponsored Programs Awards & Contracts (OSPAC) Team invites applications for the position of Grants and Contracts Analyst 3 to perform a variety of accounting and financial reporting functions for all types of awards and contracts executed by the College. Pima Community College currently manages 57 grants. General knowledge and understanding of GAAP, internal control management, knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (2 CFR 200), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR),and sponsor/funder regulations as required. Position performs a variety of accounting and financial reporting functions, including budget reviews/analyses, income statement reconciliations, prepares adjusting journal entries, prepares and completes cash draws and invoicing, completes quarterly reporting, annual reporting, and participates with evidence collection for annual audits.
The work schedule for this position is flexible and may include working evenings and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews, monitors and reconciles monthly expenditures in the general ledger for grant and contract funds, collaborates with project director to identify any expenditure discrepancies to determine adjustments, such as journal entries and/or payroll adjustments.
Works with academic programs to review and analyze budgets for allowable, allocable, and applicable costs within the framework of the agreement for grants and contracts.
Reviews and understands scope of awards, sub-awards and contractual agreements executed by the College.
Provides support to project directors or principal investigators regarding budget adjustments or other concerns.
Experience with multiple online portal systems to complete cash draws and invoicing on behalf of the College.
Works collaboratively with Project Director and Sponsored Programs Team to perform grant closeouts and includes reconciling the award or contract to include completing the final cash draw or invoicing for the College.
Works collaboratively with Sponsored Programs Team to review and approve award purchases over $5,000 to ensure compliance with College Procurement Policy, Code of Federal Regulations, and approved award budgets.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a closely related field of study and
Three to five years of related technical experience and current certifications
or
Preferred:
Master's degree in or a closely related field of study
Five to eight years of related experience
