Job Summary:

Responsible for providing business performance analysis, reporting, and forecasting. Provides a variety of financial data; maintains and updates financial models and plans. Provides financial analysis and projections to all levels within the organization in support of functional business objectives. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as resource for colleagues with less experience.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provides budget, forecast, and variance analysis and related reports as needed.

  • Conducts financial research, analyzes financial performance against objectives, and determines emerging financial trends.

  • Provides rationale behind reports and analysis and relays them in simple terms.

  • Creates and maintains statistical/financial databases and reports. Runs appropriate weekly, monthly, and annual reports.

  • Interacts as team member and sets the pace for the Financial Analysts team. Interfaces with other department member on special projects or on an as-needed basis.

  • Performs additional Business Operations duties and tasks as required.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services. Enterprise Shared Services Enterprise Shared Services (ESS), part of Enterprise Finance, provides strategic guidance and streamlined support to meet increasing demands facing Wells Fargo's businesses. ESS provides a strong, scalable and more unified model to deliver shared services to the enterprise. ESS is responsible for Enterprise Global Services (EGS) - Delivery, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, Corporate Properties and Corporate Security, Operational Resiliency, ESS Governance, ESS Strategy, Transition Services, and Front Line Risk Management. ESS Program Governance is currently seeking a candidate to join our team. This role will be part of a centralized team responsible for creating and optimizing governance frameworks and processes across Enterprise Shared Services. Areas of responsibility include: * Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that mitigate risk, drive efficiency, and improve effectiveness by actively managing risk throughout the change management lifecycle * Create fact based recommendations and actionable thought leadership for management when driving change * Establish and lead multiple ad-hoc councils with senior leaders by creating agendas, preparing meeting materials, leading discussions, and driving accountability * Foster strategic partnerships with Independent Risk Management (Corporate Risk) and other ESS Front Line organizations * Contribute to the creation of an ESS Metrics Framework that aligns with and supports the corporate KRI Framework * Prepare, enhance, and own multiple reporting efforts (ad-hoc and recurring) that span ESS groups and business Successful candidates will be clear, concise, and confident in their communications. They should be assertive and self-directed, with the ability to resolve issues through creative solutions drawn from previous experience or industry best practices. They will combine project management and presentation skills (written and verbal) with "force of personality" to lead weekly meetings with senior stakeholders. Big 4 Consulting, Six Sigma, and advanced PowerPoint skills are a plus. Requires significant attention to detail in the creation of executive presentations.
