Corteva Agriscience, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont has an exciting job as an Analytical Technologist within the Analytical Technology Center Direct Lab Services group, which provides analytical support to the manufacturing facilities in Midland, MI Operations. The successful candidate will support manufacturing operations by consulting with the plant client to understand their needs, conducting laboratory analyses as needed to provide critical data, and reporting the results to the client. Preparation of samples, calibration and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and use of data systems to acquire data and track time are included within the job scope.
This position requires the development of expertise in a variety of analytical techniques, with a particular emphasis in one or more of the following areas: separations using HPLC and GC, spectroscopy using IR, FT-IR, NIR, MIR, ion chromatography, pH, particle size distribution, Karl Fischer moisture analysis, etc.
Key responsibilities include:
Work in a safe manner in accordance with plant and site EH&S policies
Perform routine and special project analyses as necessary
Perform method validation studies
Ensure documentation and analysis is in compliance with identified quality systems
Perform calibration and routine maintenance of analytical equipment
Perform instrument troubleshooting as needed
Participate on a cross functional team to support business or organizational needs
Conduct instrument qualification as needed

The successful candidate may sometimes be required to manage issues on off-hours or holidays.
The candidate must be able to accept on-call responsibilities and work overtime as required to meet business needs
