Analog / Mixed Signal Design Intern

Job Description:

Support MACOM's Analog / Mixed Signal Design team in development of integrated circuits for optical communications.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

  • Investigate circuit architecture

  • Design, analysis and simulation of circuit blocks

  • Integrated circuit layout

  • Perform electrical measurements in the lab

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Candidate must be presently pursuing MSEE or PhD in Analog / Mixed Signal design

  • Good planning and organizational skills

  • Good interpersonal and communications skills

  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre design tools

  • In depth knowledge and understanding of analog circuit fundamentals

This role is being sourced, to be fill over the next 3 to 6 months. Senior Analog Mixed Signal Design Engineer PMIC Job Description: Design market-leading Power Management ICs for RF Energy and 5G applications. Main Duties and Responsibilities: * Take responsibility and ownership for the full silicon design lifecycle. * Simulate and design IC circuits based on available device models, parameters, and design rules. * Work with product definition and marketing groups to help define product specification. * Work with product definition group to develop system architecture and create transistor level implementation to meet specification. * Work within a multi-disciplined project team. Key Competencies Required: * Good knowledge of analog IC design flow and tools particularly Cadence. * Good knowledge of voltage regulator designs/architectures. * Good knowledge of LDOs, band gaps, bias, opamps, switched-cap circuits, feedback and compensation techniques. * Good knowledge of DACs, ADCs, oscillators, temperature sensors. * Strong device physics knowledge as it applies to analog IC designs. * Solid understanding of top level tradeoffs in mixed signal designs including power, area and performance trade-offs. * Experience in C/Matlab/VerilogA modelling. * Experience interfacing with Digital Teams. * Good planning and organisational skills. * Good interpersonal and communications skills. * Ability to work well in a global team environment.
