Moog is looking for an Electrical Analog Design Engineer for our Analog or Power Design and Validation team. You will be focused on electronic subsystem architecture, detailed design, simulation, test, and document efforts. Reporting to an Engineering manager, you will have a 9/80 work schedule with a hybrid work option (3 days/week in the office) in Torrance, CA.

As an Analog Design Engineer, you will:

  • Design low or high voltage analog electronics circuits with high reliability requirements for aviation environments.

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary product development team that defines requirements, performs trade studies, creates the subsystem designs, and implements the quality design methodology. This role is responsible for the low or high power discrete analog design, component selection, modeling, and performance analysis.

  • Conduct design assurance activities including component derating, worst case analysis, design failure mode effects analysis, and bench performance testing.

  • Document technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with customer specifications and engineering policies and procedures.

  • Support test development, early production builds, analyze and troubleshoot modules in the lab and if needed in the customer site.

  • Be responsible for meeting cost, schedule, and technical requirements.

  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • 6+ years of professional experience in electrical design and circuit analysis

  • Knowledge of circuit design and a wide range of electronic components.

  • Basic knowledge of closed-loop control systems.

  • Experience with component derating, worst case analysis, and 3-Sigma tolerance analysis.

It'd be great if you also had:

  • Proficiency in the creation of ECAD schematics (Cadence preferred).

  • Experience in the creation and execution of PSPICE, PSIM, and/or Microcap simulation of electronic circuits.

  • Experience in the Aerospace industry

This job requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Salary range:

The base pay range for this opportunity is $95,000 - $145,000 per year. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual profit share bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.
