Analyze and underwrite new loan opportunities, prepare loan applications and commitments and oversee the closing of loans originated. Analyze the mortgage portfolio, prepare and distribute standard and ad hoc reports for internal and external use Closely manage a designated market territory, roster of mortgage banking contacts, or both, with the goal of effectively marketing the AFA loan program so as to generate new mortgage loan investments.
Prepare loan applications, loan commitments and loan approval documents, subject to review by supervisor. Analyze prospective loan submissions, either as assigned or from a designated geographic territory or roster of mortgage banking contacts. Review credit tenant leases and prepare a lease brief on prospective loan submissions.
Assist the Vice President, Investments and Closing/Servicing Manager in the analysis of the mortgage portfolio (AM Best Reports, Prepayment Projections, Developing Underwriting Models, Etc.) and generation of reports. Oversee the closing of mortgage loans generated from designated territory or contacts. Review all related leased and third-party reports for loans and loan collateral.
Calculate prepayment premiums, payoff statements and related duties, as assigned. Review these documents for loans in the designated territory, or as otherwise assigned. Actively develop, nurture and manage designated mortgage banking relationships, including regular market visits and on-going communications.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, real estate, business or related area of study. MBA preferred.
Prior experience with a commercial real estate or mortgage banking firm, the investment area of life insurance company, commercial mortgage group for a commercial bank or other related finance preferred. Ability to multi-task. Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Team player - ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Good negotiating skills. Proficient in PC Windows-based software, including Microsoft Office applications (Email, Internet applications, Excel and Word); knowledge of PAM system helpful. Excellent math skills. Ability to travel for work.

The Mortgage Banker/Mortgage Loan Originator is primarily responsible for representing a full range of mortgage financing; generates mortgage and development loans through solicitation of individual consumers, groups, real estate brokers and builders/developers. BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION
Performs highly skilled electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and related equipment in various state agencies and institutions; provides on-site supervision/training to electrical apprentices in accordance with requirements of the Construction Industries Board and to lower level Journeyman Electricians.
Performs highly skilled work in the installation, alteration, repair, and maintenance of wiring, power
appliances, machinery, overhead circuits, underground circuits and pole lines; assemble, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical fixtures and apparatus such as boxes, conduit, wiring outlets, switch panels and bus bars; testing of circuits for continuity and proper connections. Designs and lays out complex electrical jobs; troubleshoots and analyzes complex electrical problems. Installs and upgrades fire alarm systems; installs alters, repairs, and maintains building access control systems. Installs and maintains motors and generators; uses standard and specialized electrical tools and equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, magnetos and other hand tools ordinarily used in the construction industry; converts motors and refrigerators to correct voltage ratings; operates electrical equipment; installs and repairs air conditioning equipment. Removes old wiring, conduit and electrical equipment for construction purposes; operates heavy equipment to include a backhoe, fork lift, skid steer loader, front end loader, platform lift and scissor lift. Coordinates job requirements with other crafts; provides on-site supervision/training to electrical apprentices and lower level Journeyman Electricians. Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA's)
Knowledge and understanding of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in electrical work; of the safety precautions necessary in the electrical trade; of local, state and national electrical codes and life safety codes; of fire marshal regulations; ability to read and interpret complex blueprints/ drawings; and ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex electrical problems. Ability to install, maintain, and repair electrical fixtures, to make preliminary sketches and develop bills of materials for electrical work.
Must be licensed as a journeyman electrician in accordance with the Construction Industries Board and have 5 years experience as a licensed journeyman electrician.
