The Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV), Field Service Engineer Principle supervises the coordination of technical and administrative support activities including installation, repair, preventative maintenance, and engineering change upgrades. Responsible for the proper coordination, planning, and execution of each assignment. Supervises field service engineering group. Reviews customer equipment interface requirements.
Candidate will schedule individual personnel for engineering projects based on requests by project managers and serves as liaison between technicians, engineers, and project managers, for issue resolution. Supports design, development, fabrication, integration, installation and acceptance testing of new or modified equipment.
Serves as point of contact for assigned personnel in matters pertaining to recruitment, personnel transactions, disciplinary actions and inter/intra departmental and company transactions.
Encourages continuous improvement by meeting the requirements, striving for error free work, managing by prevention.
Provides technical support for various engineering systems including generation of technical requirements, system documents, system level test procedures, customer and internal design reviews, safety reviews and technical manuals.
Hardware/software troubleshooting with report generation when required.
Evaluates assigned personnel on clear and well-defined objectives in a fair and consistent manner.

Receives general direction independently determines and develops approach. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
