Summary: Industrial Refrigeration Maintenance and repairs, able to maintain, diagnose and repair the industrial refrigeration system and controls, along with other maintenance issues relating to hydraulic, electrical, welding, pipe fitting, machine installation, lights, plumbing, PM maintenance, and heating & air conditioning and all other equipment assigned to them. Also responsible for guiding and developing associates in the Building Maintenance positions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but not restricted to;

Observes mechanical devices in operation; listens to their sounds for proper operation or to locate any causes of trouble.

Properly service or perform preventative maintenance on the equipment or machines based on manufacture requirements or guidelines. Lubricates and cleans parts. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices, control setpoints, and control instruments.

Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Starts devices to test their performance.

Sets up and operate industrial equipment and tools to make and repair equipment and install parts.

Maintain the appropriate service and repair documentation required by law and company policy for the refrigeration system.

Routinely inspect ammonia equipment for deficiencies and determine root cause

Lighting, plumbing, heating & air conditioning and all other equipment and PM Maintenance assigned to them.

Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.

Follows Company's attendance policy

Follows Company's safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Four year college, Technical or vocational school, or university program certificate; or a minimum of one year ammonia refrigeration experience or three years general commercial refrigeration experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general professional journals, technical manuals

or procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors and our customers.

Math Ability:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge and be able to learn and use the maintenance database software and other programs, such as; VLM, Word and Excel.

Certificates and Licenses:

Required:

EPA 608 Universal refrigeration certification.

Driver's license

Preferred:

Industrial equipment certifications

After hours response: Associate must be able and willing to respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day / 7 days a week should the need arise.
