Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

Dreisbach Enterprises is seeking talented Refrigeration Technicians to join our growing Engineering team. As part of this integral department, our technicians:

$25-$40 per hour

Monday- Friday Day Shift

• Operate, maintain, and adjust the refrigeration system to support warehouse requirements
• Inspect, calibrate, and maintain all refrigeration system safeguards per manufacturer specifications
• Complete and evaluate daily logs pertaining to the temperature, pressure, and general operation of the refrigeration system
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and repairs on machinery within the ammonia and/or Freon refrigeration system
• Maintain housekeeping standards in all areas pertaining to refrigeration equipment
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues on refrigeration equipment
• Maintain water treatment system and chemical controls for the evaporative condenser per manufacturer specifications
• Measure samples of oil, water and glycol in accordance with operating guidelines
• Monitor contractors working on or near refrigeration systems
• Utilize onsite motorized lift and equipment as needed

The position may require work on the weekends, evenings, and holidays, dependent upon operational needs.

Requirements

We seek candidates with the following:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience with ammonia refrigeration
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) drawings
• Process Safety Management (PSM) experience/training
• Successful completion of Refrigeration Operator 1 course (CARO) or equivalent
• RETA certification is highly preferred
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend and walk for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Must have a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen
