AML Supervisor

The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Investigator II supervises various AML processes, which might include suspicious activity investigations, currency transaction reporting, global sanctions screening, enhanced due diligence or other AML processes. The associate will work closely with AML Process Managers to perform other critical functions. The associate is also responsible for planning and conducting processes related to anti-money laundering and global sanction activities as well as managing the workflow of the AML analysis. The AML Investigator II coaches their team and teaches others about AML processes through training and education. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Operational Management & Training: Supervise daily workflow and operational metrics of AML Operations team. Daily supervision of a small central unit of Investigators. Assist with training in Regulatory Operations and in the business areas.

  • Policy & Procedure Impact: Contribute to internal AML Operations projects related to the modification of policies/procedures. Assess new business acquisitions to determine what work should flow into AML Operations units.

  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance on draft Suspicious Activity Reports, sanctions reviews, CTR's, EDD reviews or other AML process.

  • Escalation Handling: Handle escalated issues as appropriate for advanced investigation and analysis.

  • Industry Knowledge:
    Assess internal trends, external regulatory and law enforcement environment to make recommendations to understand risk areas and alter or add typologies in certain business areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification, or Military experience.

  • At least 2 years of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) experience within financial services.

  • At least 1 year of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years of AML experience within financial services

  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification, or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification, or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification

  • 2 years of people management experience

VIEW JOBS 8/9/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-07T00:00 The Compliance AML KYC Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for leading Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight and regulatory reporting activities in coordination with the Compliance and Control team. The overall objective of this role is to lead in the development and management of a dedicated internal KYC (Know Your Client) program at Citi. Responsibilities: The position will support the AML Transaction Monitoring and Currency Transaction Reporting policy execution functions for NA Card (Brands & Retail Services) by identifying trends/issues as well as determining root cause and recommending solutions to correct issues and/or enhancements to the work flow and maintaining monthly report metrics that capture the end to end process. The Transaction Monitoring program responsibility is to ensure AML Monitoring and Investigations groups are appropriately executing procedures, reporting key performance indicators and driving for improvements in case investigations. The Currency Transaction Reporting responsibilities include, but are not limited to, being the key contact for NA Cards for CTR requirements, assessments and reporting. Additionally, the position will coordinate with the KYC teams on oversight of work within the CitiKYC platform that overlaps with Transaction Monitoring requirements and processes as required per policy. This includes both projects and initiatives outlined for the KYC and Transaction Monitoring projects and coordinating related work stream functions with key stakeholders across multiple lines of business. The position will also include analysis of customer impact on the AML process and supporting Cards Services Support Unit related to their AML work streams.
