AmeriCorps Special Programs Coordinator
The Special Programs Coordinator (AmeriCorps member) will mentor students at the selected school who seek assistance from the Counseling Department on high school completion goals and college and career plans, with an emphasis on increasing the number of first-generation college-going students.

Department: Teaching and Learning
Reports to: Counseling Department Chair
Training and Experience:
Demonstrated knowledge of student support programs.
Ability to work effectively in both high school and community environments.
Prior experience as a Counselor in a high school setting preferred but not required.
Bilingual fluent in oral and written Spanish and English is preferred.
Required to apply and become an AmeriCorps member.
Valid Level I DPS Fingerprint Clearance card
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly Position
Salary Placement: Determined by AmeriCorps Grant Guidelines (2 members per site with the exception of MDN)
