Americorps Outreach Specialist - Northern Lights PCC
In support of the mission of Nationwide Children's Hospital, the AmeriCorps Outreach Specialist will collaborate with clinical and medical staff to provide culturally sensitive one-on-one support and guidance to patients and families with unmet social needs. May include some evenings and weekends.
Schedule: Contingent, Monday-Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Education Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent, required.Skills:• Effective customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required for interaction with patients, families, and community providers.• Ability to work as a part of a team, with diverse populations, and with healthcare providers in clinical settings.• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, sound decision making skills, and the ability to maintain highly confidential information.• Moderate computer skills with Microsoft Word and Excel, required.• Ability to prioritize tasks, problem solve, and work autonomously.The above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
