The Rebuilding Together national office is looking to hire a part-time 20hr/wk (900hr term) AmeriCorps Network Training Coordinator with a Fall 2024 start date.

The work of Rebuilding Together starts well before the project day. In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact our national affiliate network through the development of virtual and in person education opportunities. As the AmeriCorps Network Training Coordinator, you will support the creation of a suite of affiliate-facing resources to train affiliates and volunteers on national office initiatives. This includes self-paced online courses, national webinars, and in-person regional and national trainings on topics including nonprofit management, community revitalization, volunteer management, diversity and inclusion, and many more. You may coordinate with affiliates to gather examples of current practices, collaborate with other national office teams to ensure stakeholder buy-in, and identify sources to support the creation of education content that can easily be shared and replicated throughout the affiliate network. In this position, you will support the project management processes of the national office, particularly in the lead up to the national conference, Summit held in December 2024. You may also travel in this position, as needed, to support the coordination and management of on-site logistics and education initiatives.

Again, this is a part-time position, which is ideal for candidates that have served a previous AmeriCorps term, are a part-time student, have a part-time job, retirees or candidates that have other life commitments preventing you from signing on full-time.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of National Office staff, research and develop training, resources, and presentations for use in a self-paced, webinar, or in-person format.
  • Work in collaboration with the national conference planning team to oversee project management and logistics in the lead-up to the national conference in December 2024.
  • Assist with the creation of online courses, webinars, and in-person training - Topics may include nonprofit management, community revitalization, diversity, etc.
  • Support Network Advancement Team sub-committees, as needed
  • Assist in preparations for and attend the national conference, Summit 2024
  • Travel as needed for on-site logistics and education management

Requirements

Required

  • Experience or comfort with learning to use online platforms for education systems management including Salesforce, Zoom, and Thinkific.
  • Experience developing educational materials and presentations
  • Comfort with speaking and presenting in front of large groups--experience training or teaching adults/volunteers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom and use of internet
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where each team member must balance being organized and detail-orientated with being flexible and keeping up with changing scopes of project work
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to balance priorities
  • Ability to work with diverse clients, volunteers, and staff to create a friendly, helpful atmosphere

Preferred

  • Event management experience: coordinating event staff and logistics is a plus.
  • Experience with Rebuilding Together is not required, but is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant life/work experience

Benefits

Living allowance over all 11-month terms of service:

  • Part-time 20hrs/wk (900hr term) - $12,441/term

Additional one-time payment for second year+ members of any AmeriCorps program:

  • Part-time 20hrs/wk (900hr term) - $350

Travel to one optional in-person Rebuilding Together event with other AmeriCorps members (Details TBD).

Health insurance including dental and vision plans (only available to full-time 1700hr members).

Professional development benefit up to $800/member provided by RT National.

Mental Health benefit provided by RT National (covers 6 visits with a mental health professional OR 6 months of an online/tele-service subscription).

Education Award for qualifying education expenses or loans, upon completion of the term of service:

  • Part-time 20hrs/wk (900hr term) – $3,697.50

Federal student loan forbearance and interest accrual payment.

Positions are eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.

AmeriCorps childcare benefit.
