AmeriCorps LEAP Initiative

Members are matched to Head Start and other early childhood programs to provide 1:1 social-emotional skill support for children needing stronger foundation in self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship management and responsible decision making (foundational EQ). Members build positive relationships with children and staff during first 30 days of classroom observation and then begin MindUP lessons that build positive and effective social skills using breath and movement to calm minds and bodies; time to practice recognizing and regulating emotions; and books to develop curiosity and build interactive confidence with verbal expression within the classroom environment. Members are role models for positive relationships that encourages growth and achievement of children in classroom, and connection with parents/caregivers through Reading Rocks! monthly book gifts to encourage routine reading at home to strengthen child/adult bonding, expand word awareness and deepen word knowledge for Kindergarten success. Member Duties : Observe children interacting in classroom and develop strategies and interventions to build social interaction skills; educate children on emotions, calming techniques and self-regulation skills to promote a positive learning experience and the development of empathy. Connect families to books and resources in community, coordinate site events to engage families in fun and meaningful activities and promote routine reading at home for bonding and building word awareness for school success. VIEW JOBS POSITION SUMMARY: FULL TIME The Team Lead operates a business within a business. Their responsibilities are, but not limited to, the daily operations of the used firearms business. This includes three phases of business: buying, selling, and firearms customer service. This position initiates all 4473 forms with customers and is responsible for conducting the final check of applicable company, state, and federal forms prior to a firearm being transferred to the customer. The Team Lead focuses on creating a fair-trade environment focusing on a customer-satisfaction selling culture. Thus, reaching monthly sales goals in order to achieve maximum profit through buying, selling, and trading pre-owned firearms. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Evaluate and appraise used firearms exhibiting knowledge of fair market values, professional negotiation skills, research, and a high degree of firearms identification knowledge. The Team Leader is in control of used firearm inventory and must obtain the highest % margin based on negotiated acquisition. 25% * Initiates all 4473 forms with customers and is responsible for conducting the final check of applicable company, state, and federal forms prior to a firearm being transferred to the customer. 15% * Maintain inventory through daily buying and cultivating leads for potential buying of gun collections outside of the store, along with awareness of local auctions, estate sales, and any other avenue of supply. 10% * Complying with all Local, State, and Federal firearms regulations as an employee of an ATF FFL licensed dealer * Conduct monthly ATF compliance audits and company required audits. 5% * Merchandising of used firearms being proactive in the arrangement of merchandise. 5% * Partner with Internet Specialist recommending to post those firearms that will achieve the highest potential margin and sell quickly. 10% * Interact and communicate with Regional Gun Library Managers and the corporate used firearm merchandising team. 10% * Train and educate Outfitters on acquiring and disposing of used firearms, current sales trends, policy and procedure updates and changes, negotiation skills, providing resources to properly identify used firearm values, and other educational aspects of the used firearm business. 5% * Participate in ongoing training including, but not limited to firearms and shooting product information, diverse shooting discipline awareness, systems training, compliance related training, and selling skills / techniques. 5% * Provide highest quality customer service 10% * On the sales floor and assisting with customer phone calls * Developing relationships with customers in answering questions about their firearm, quoting a price for their firearm or a retail price of firearms. * Respond and handle customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope * ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent experience Experience: 2-4 years experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY: * Must be 21 years of age * Safely handle firearms * Knowledge of purchasing firearms by either working in the firearms industry or collecting firearms * Good understanding of retail and a knowledge of computers * Background in current firearms models * Able to appraise and know the marketable value of used firearms * Must have a great work ethic and ability to multi task TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Local travel to purchase used firearms out of store 5% Bass Pro Shops is an equal opportunity employer. Job Duties * Supervise employees and monitor processes * Responsible for new unit check in process/procedure * Duplicate receipt documents and create unit Service files * Co-operate with Advisor to create initial unit work order and pre-authorize all warranty work on new units * Determine repair requests to be covered under Manufacturer and/or Vendor warranty guidelines * Provide known approval time and/or flat rates for repair to all relevant dealer Personnel as prime priority * Provide direct advice on valid work order quality content to substantiate claims prior to work order finalization * Provide and keep on-line photo library for warranty unit claims * Manage all paper flow, in order to claim warranty repairs for payment, within 7 days * Manage and pursue all claims to be paid as well as applying payment to paid claims including credit memos * Appeal all denied claims as appropriate and clear irrevocably denied balances to keep AR book up to date * Ensure all relevant Personnel are familiar with warranty procedures/processes * Assist Advisors in checking sold units for outstanding recalls as appropriate * Provide price estimates for Manufacturer prior to work commencement if needed * Back up Service Advisors when/if needed Qualifications * A minimum of two years of Service Advisor or Technician experience is preferred * Excellent record keeping and documenting skills required * Proficient in IDS or other Dealership Management software preferred * Strong communication skills both verbally as well as written are essential. * Ability to work daily on a computer and perform internet searches as needed * Ability to build and maintain an in-depth tree file for warranty pictures * Excellent organization and follow up skills are required * The ability to follow Department procedures and policies * Strong clerical skills a must * A good understanding of accounts, invoices, debits and credits is required Full-time associates are offered a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k and more!
