  • OEM Coatings (Southfield, Michigan) Where the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a Marketing Manager for OEM Coatings, Americas to manage complexity and ambiguity in a fast-changing environment and to ensure the marketing team delivers valuable solutions, including development and commercial delivery of a wide range of marketing tools, systems, customer programs and services.

Qualifications

  • BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success

Leveraging your MBA (preferably), Sales/Marketing background, and automotive industry experience, you will lead change in a forward-looking role that is critical to the long-term success of the business

We will rely upon your Leadership experience coupled with strong influencing skills in our highly creative environment that spans across the Americas and globallyA Customer, Strategic and Global mindset will serve you well as you represent the Americas marketing team on global projects ensuring that the business needs are fully satisfied by influencing and driving alignment

You will negotiate and represent BASF on external committees, liaising with external stakeholders to ensure that the interests of BASF are adequately defined and protected within legislative and industry forums

As a Manager of Managers (direct reports and matrixed), you will lead a team across the Americas region, motivating employees across cultures and setting the tone for a creative environment of collaboration for direct reports and others outside own group

You will be accountable for decision making to grow profitable sales in Americas region and to represent and negotiate globally on behalf of ECO Americas with BASF functional units to obtain support to execute projects

Closely interacting with Accounts Managers and customers to fully understand expectations, needs and develop solutions to help them grow, you will develop product line strategies throughout the life cycle of the portfolio, manage new products / solutions pipeline and ensure implementation with internal and external partners

You will lead the evaluation of competitive products and offerings, conduct market research studies, forecast trends and product demand to develop marketing programs that support the sales team to profitably grow the business

Working with respective Account Manager and key stakeholders, you will initiate the development of strategic business plans for the OEM paint businesses in Americas along with market research in the respective markets

You will define the service catalogues and training programs that enhance the knowledge and experience of customers, and ensure that these services are used to position BASFs OEM brand

You will also support Color Design, customer technology reviews, advertising and promotion, sponsorships and event management (e.g. Tech days), innovation process, coordination of key initiatives globally and within BASF corporate environments Create Your Own Chemistry:
