Responsibilities
Responsible for hands on support, electrical component level specification, electrical drawing development and maintenance, and continuous improvement for equipment and processes used in a manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do:
Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Amerex EHS Programs.
Troubleshoot and assist in the repair electro-hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and mechanically driven industrial machinery.
Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and install industrial control systems.
Navigate, modify, and program robot controllers.
Train robotics operators to perform the daily functions, offsets, and troubleshooting of robotic work cells.
Work with engineering staff to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
Write control logic for new and existing equipment for both A-B panel-view and A-B PLC driven equipment.
Install and setup variable frequency drives, instrumentation devices, and temperature controls.
Design, layout, and wire electrical control panels.
Follow diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions & engineering specs
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, using manufacturer's manual, and using precision measuring and testing equipment
Maintain professional and technical knowledge of robotics and industrial controls including automation hardware/software (Allen Bradley, Rockwell Factorytalk)Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Who You Are:
Bachelor's Degree in related study or two (2) year Technical Degree Preferred
Five (5) years' experience (Education, Certification and /or direct training could be substituted)
Experience or training in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Robotics
Experience in robotic applications and program maintenance
PLC experience, AC & DC control circuits & wiring, communications (Data-Hwy, Remote IO)
Experience in electrical controls panel design and build
NEC experience is preferred
Excellent communications and people skills
Ability to read & understand instructions, electrical and mechanical drawings, pneumatics & hydraulic schematics
Ability to work without supervision
SUMMARY OF WORKING CONDITIONS
This position supports production across all shifts and may be called upon during off hours to assist in the repair of equipment.
This position may involve potential exposure to hazardous materials, and environmental changes (heat/cold). The employee must be able to work under stress occasioned by production requirements, personnel, and the needs of other departments while utilizing proper body mechanics.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical activities required of this job include but are not limited to considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, standing, stooping, and handling tools and materials.
The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force to frequently lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time; however, it may involve walking and standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
