  • Job Summary

  • Responsible/accountable for leading the clinical team following the mission, goals, budget and performance standards for the clinic. Utilizes knowledge of organizing, delegating and supervising. Must work effectively with physicians, staff, patients, public and external agencies. Must have ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgement, decision-making and problem solving expertise. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.

  • Required: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing OR Successful completion of accredited License Practical Nurse program

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams

  • Proficient Computer skills

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Required: Current Missouri Registered Nurse License OR Missouri State License Practical Nurse

  • BLS obtain within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in Women's Health. * Experience with electronic medical records. Duties: * Performs medication reconciliation with patients. * Advises and schedule appropriate follow-up appointments. * Carries out physician orders accurately, directly, and indirectly. * Request appropriate medical records. * Maintain and coordinate communication among patient/significant other, staff, and physician as evidenced within medical record, client, and health care team feedback. * Effectively communicate patient's changing needs and plans of care among staff members. * Report patient needs/programs and observations regarding patient's condition to the physician. * Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team in coordination of the patient's care as evidenced by other department feedback. * Participates in staff development programs. * Attends scheduled staff meetings and is responsible for information discussed. * Assists patients, family members, or other clients with concern and empathy; respects their confidentiality and privacy and communicate with them in a courteous and respectful manner. * Answers and refers telephone calls or other inquires to ensure accurate and timely communications as facilitated. * Assists in the orientation/training/mentoring of new Team Members. * Consistently works in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow Team Members, other Team leads and nursing supervisors. * Assists other Team Members in the performance of their assignments. * Takes direction and initiate actions (cross/additional training) that will allow the assumption of cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care. * Demonstrates flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary within the Clinic. * Demonstrates sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns. * Consistently evaluates work and determines if further steps are needed to meet client expectations. * Ensures compliance with regulatory standards. * Consistently demonstrates ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary. * Minimizes non-productive time and fills slow periods with activities that enables preparation to meet the future needs of the Clinic (education, organizing, housekeeping, assisting others.) * Organizes job functions and work area to be able to effectively complete varied assignments within established time frames. * Consistently demonstrates ability to take the initiative to make decisions/choices without direct supervision. * Promotes effective working relations and work effectively as part of a team to facilitate the Clinic's ability to meet its goals and objectives. * Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the Clinic's overall mission. * Responsibly follows the Clinic Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens. * Is responsible for monitoring of Team's overtime and adjusts team members' schedules accordingly to help minimize the accrual of overtime on the team. * Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment. * Is responsible for working collaboratively with assistant nurse managers on Team members' performance reviews when due. * All other duties as assigned.
