Employers require ambulette drivers to hold valid driver's licenses with a passenger endorsement.

Ambulettes are medical transportation vehicles used to transport disabled people and others with medical conditions. Ambulette drivers keep logs of their trips that are used both for recordkeeping and billing purposes. In the event of a vehicle accident or patient incident, the driver will have to fill out reports on what happened.

As an Ambulette Driver at Ambulnz you're expected to

  • Be a team player, providers must provide necessary assistance to ensure system sanitation, readiness and adherence to quality assurance standards.

  • Be flexible as your work shift schedule may vary and start and shift times may vary due to the nature of the business.

  • Know the roads a thorough working knowledge of local geography.

  • Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all licenses.

  • Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors and or the public.

  • Provide top tier transport to facilities by assuming responsibilities for care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures.

  • Keep the rig clean and stocked and in good running order throughout the shift.

  • Prepare and submit reports accordingly.

  • Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.

Responsibilities will include: * Provides chemical dependency counseling, intervention and discharge planning as a member of an interdisciplinary team to adult individuals with chemical dependency and/or mental health problems.
