Our client, Rochesters top hospital and top company to work for, is seeking anAmbulatory Technicianto join their Oncology team.
Contract to hire
Monday-Friday 8:30a - 5p
Pay: DOE
Performs clinical tasks and possibly some clerical functions in support of patients and care providers. Works collaboratively with providers in caring for all patients. Utilizes customer service skills in greeting and organizing patients needs for that visit. Records patients height, weight, and VSs; screens questions. Conducts self in a manner that is open, approachable, and conducive to teamwork within the area of practice. Assists in stocking the rooms with supplies and linen, as well as possibly drawing bloods and doing EKGs if needed. Picks up rooms after patients and returns rooms to original order.
Associate's degree and/or certificate in a related field, or three years of experience in a patient care setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is preferred. Computer experience is preferred.

Applies skills and experience towards pattern recognition of healthcare events and laboratory results supporting identification of on-going needs of the study in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Accountable for and assures compliance throughout the research study by maintaining regulatory documentation. Assesses research protocols to determine subject eligibility. Reviews medical records to abstract data according to specific criteria ensuring research compliance and conduct. Records data and maintains source and research study documentation in both hard and electronic copy. Prepares supporting research reports and uses statistical sampling techniques. Responsible for understanding the research process, identifying and addressing on-going needs of the study. Actively participates in institution/division/department committees and provide updates to colleagues. This position could be a .8 or a 1.0 FTE. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a preference of having a bachelor's degree in Nursing. A candidate must have five years of experience in a health care and/or research setting. Acute care experience is beneficial. Experience in data management, coordination of research protocols, medical record abstraction, and ability to read and interpret patient histories. Knowledge of computer systems related to studies and optimal utilization of hardware and software configurations. Ability to work independently and with a variety of people at all levels within and outside of Mayo. Must be dependable, self-directed, and willing to take the initiative for organizing all aspects of a study. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in oral and written communication. Knowledge of clinical epidemiological methods and perspectives is preferred. Additional qualifications Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) or Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) certification is preferred. Research and Oncology experience preferred with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. This position could be a .8, .9, or a 1.0 FTE. License or certification Current Minnesota RN license Exemption status Non-exempt Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $24.12 per hour.
