Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Services

Part-Time (.5) position!

Position Highlights:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide TMS services to patients identified with treatment resistant depression via a screening process and assist patients as they move through a series of treatments

  • Document treatments, outcomes and findings into an advanced medical electronic records system (Epic).

  • Produce regular reports and conducts analyses as needed for clinical outcomes and the development of protocols under the supervision of the Medical Director.

  • Schedule appointments for procedures, tests, and education.

  • Contact patients regarding follow-up, test results, medical instruction, and patient education

  • Interact with patients, families and staff with a focus on communicating and coordinating the patient's care plan

  • Develop and conduct educational modules for patients

  • Assist with grant work as necessary

Position Qualifications Include:

  • BSN or MSN in Nursing

  • Current RN Licensure in the State of Illinois

  • Current CPR Certification, ACLS preferred

  • 1 to 2 years of Clinical experience working with adult psychiatric patients required; experience with TMS and patients diagnosed with depression preferred

  • Knowledge of MQSA/federal standards preferred

  • Advanced computer skills including proficiency with electronic medical record systems

  • Ability to work with complex medical equipment

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to organize and be self-motivated

No holidays * Convenient location near public transportation and parking is available POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide telephone triage regarding symptom assessment, information, intervention and appropriate physician referral for allergy patients. * Triage and assesses patients' acute conditions and initiate a treatment plan under the direction of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. * Assist with testing and other procedures associated with allergy treatment * Call patients regarding follow-up, test results and medical instruction * Educate patients and family members about disease process, treatment modalities, medications, home care, procedures, and follow-up recommendations * Identify and participate in QI activities. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS * Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure * Completed BSN or MSN * At least 1 year Med/Surg or Primary Care RN experience required; ambulatory and allergy experience preferred. * CPR certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or willingness to obtain before date of hire. * Ability to collaborate with other clinic personnel to ensure task completion * Work requires the ability to walk throughout the Clinic and to be standing or walking most of the designated shifts. * Work requires lifting or carrying objects 35-40lbs and supporting and positioning patients some whom may exceed 300lbs. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Epic EMR experience strongly preferred COMPANY HIGHLIGHTS * Ranked among the top academic medical centers in the country, Rush University Medical Center is an outstanding place to enhance your career.
