Ambulatory Informatics Specialist

Ambulatory Informatics Specialist Works closely with practice informatics, leadership, fellow teammates, caregivers and providers to ensure successful user orientation, standardized process/workflow and clinical application adoption. Assists in the development, training and support of assigned healthcare applications, solutions, and business processes to meet the operational and clinical application needs of the organization. Job Duties:

• Assist in managing Electronic Health Record for the organization

• Manages data sharing between medical group operations, the Care Coordination team, Information Services, and Finance

• Create and lead training workshops for employees

Requirements:

• Experience working with Meaningful Use (MU), Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS), Merit-based Incentive Programs (MIPS), Transitional Case Management (TCM), Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), Comprehensive Primary Care initiative (CPC+ initiative) and Value Based Purchasing (VBP) programs.

• Three years of healthcare professional experience in quality improvement, project management, database management or data analysis.

• Electronic Medical Record experience (Athena Preferred)

• Word Processing, Excel & PowerPoint experience

• Excellent organization and communication skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance, and medical practice services and routines

• Effectively work as a member of a team and as an individual

• Spreadsheet Applications experience

• ICD/CPT experience

• Associates and/or Bachelors in Business, Health Administration or related field preferred
