Providing leadership in managing and improving the Ambulatory Care access operations and business related activities for points of patient contact. Responsible for supporting the following: enhanced patient access process, better management reporting, information flow and management, business process, scheduling and organizational planning to ensure financial viability of the unit.
Based on location can have managerial oversight, for the functions and responsibilities of the Ambulatory Care representatives and Clinic Coordinators working at point of care intake locations or Ambulatory Care Call Center including: new patient and centralized scheduling, and phone triage dispatch teams. Provides on-site coverage, in the absence of the Director associated with new patient office and scheduling activities or management over call center functions, with special focus on service levels, minimizing abandonment rates, and speed to answer
Responsible for coordinating with the Clinical Managers operational, financial, quality, and regulatory compliance of the units. Works collaboratively with physicians, nursing, and staff, and other support departments to ensure the successful operation of high quality and efficient patient care areas. This includes the oversight of day-to-day operations and coordinating through and communicating with the rest of the administrative and clinical team to ensure that these units operate in an optimal manner as well as implementing and integrating the overall organizational strategies, policies and procedures.
Education
Bachelors Degree in related field. (Required)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
2 Years experience as a manager or demonstrated progress toward increasingly responsible positions. (Required)
5 Years experience in physician relations, practice management and/or hospital administration. (Required)
