Stephanie's Restaurant at Logan Airport is looking for skilled and dependable line cooks for breakfast and lunch.
AM shifts start around 4am and end approximately 12pm.
All candidates must pass a 10 year criminal background check and airport security training to obtain a security badge required to work in Logan Airport SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY: Individual must posses the following knowledge, skills and abilities and must be able to demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the position.
Ability to read and speak English 3.
Ability to perform basic sanitation practices 4.
Ability to handle a knife and other sharp objects with extreme caution and skill 5.
Ability to handle food safely 6.

VIEW JOBS 11/11/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-09T00:00 Description Directs day-to-day and long–term planning for safety, security, maintenance, and budget functions associated with Logan Office Center and Bird Island Flats Garage. Maintains 178,000 sq. ft. building, adjacent property, 504 space, 35,000 sq. ft. garage, parking lots and Harborwalk through the administration of the $3 M annual operating maintenance program. Oversees capital improvement projects within the premises. Essential Tasks of the Job Manages the day-to-day tenant and occupant relations at the Logan Office Center including notices of interpretation and compliance. 1. Investigates, mediates and resolves tenant complaints and responds to requests for service in consideration of applicable regulatory (OCCS, FDA, OSHA, etc.) requirements. Tenants include a cafeteria, federal and state agencies, and gymnasium. 2. Prepares and disseminates appropriate information to tenants. 3. Oversees and offers technical assistance on the development and negotiation of leases, contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with Authority, state and federal regulations. 4. Evaluates tenant proposals for changes in authorized activities or use of premises. Develops appropriate consent document modifications or other required documentation, and consults with Massport Public Safety. 5. Maintains an inventory of occupied and vacant premises. 6. Coordinates tenant maintenance needs with contracts and contractors. 7. Acts as liaison between tenants and third parties during capital improvements. 8. Conducts weekly site inspections and initiates corrective action to ensure safety regulations are met. Ensures compliance with lease move-in/move-out conditions. 9. Serves as physical and environmental safety and security liaison to employees and tenants. Represents safety issues at Safety Committee meetings. 10. Communicates Maintenance and Repair Exhibit information to tenants. 11. Ensures services and invoices correspond to contract scope and budget. 12. Monitors tenant space modifications to ensure compliance with lease terms. 13. Originates purchase requisitions ensuring all maintenance, repair, security and janitorial supplies are available to maintain all Massport and facility common areas. 14. Facilitates shipping, receiving, courier and mail delivery for all tenants. Administers security services agreement. 1. Specifies Post responsibilities and training requirements. 2. Ensures integrity of access control procedures. 3. Consults with Public Safety regarding coverage during special events. 4. Maintains Security Procedures Manual, Emergency Procedures Manual and Building Policies and Procedures Manual. 5. Verifies service hours and ensures payment as contracted. 6. Works with Tenants, MPA Human Resources and State Police regarding potential illegal employee activities. 7. Determines level of access for each employee inquiry. Issues programmed access and key access. Formulates and oversees the Property Management fiscal operating budget. 1. Develops budget in accordance with facility objectives and in compliance with the Authority's policy and procedures. 2. Monitors expenditures and reconciles data against budget reports. 3. Identifies ordering and payment discrepancies and corrects with Materials Management and Accounts Payable departments. 4. Reviews monthly reports and identifies key variances. 5. Implements transfers to ensure budget compliance. Administers Cafeteria Service Agreement. 1. Monitors service for quality, variety, and pricing of food. 2. Resolves Health Inspection issues. 3. Audits monthly invoices and ensures payment in accordance with agreement. 4, Coordinates special events to maintain café usage. Supervises full-time contract property management staff. 1. Prioritizes workloads, monitors and adjusts daily work schedules and distributes projects among maintenance and janitorial staffs to ensure safety and aesthetic standards are met. 2. Develops internal and external training sessions to increase unit efficiency and keep staff current on new system applications. 3. Works with staff in the development and implementation of unit office practices. 4. Maintains stability of contract staff. 5. Conducts interviews, performance evaluation, and implements corrective actions. Implements and monitors parking program for Lot A, Lot B and the BIF Garage. 1. Develops database and procedures for maintaining parking information. 2. Coordinates enforcement of regulations with State Police/Central Parking. 3. Reviews requests for employee parking rights to tenants and employees applying a variety of parking entitlements. 4. Inspects employee parking lots for maintenance needs, makes recommendations and coordinates needed repairs. 5. Maintains adjacent employee parking lot inventories. Administers Maintenance and Service Contracts 1. Prepares proposals, bid specifications, and contract for repairs and maintenance. 2. Develops Requests for Qualifications/Requests for Proposal and informal bid processes for the provision of goods and services. 3. Facilitates acquisition of goods and services and coordinates maintenance and improvements with contractors (landscaping, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical and programmable locks). 4. Ensures services provided and invoices correspond to contract scope and budget. 5. Coordinates LOC interest in Authority –wide contracts and monitors back-charging. In-direct administration of Authority-wide contracts: glazing, dock doors, waste/recycle removal, window cleaning, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, exterminating). Prepares recommendations for proposed Term and Capital Improvements. 1. Identifies and prioritizes deficiencies in real property. 2. Coordinates with other Capital Programs staff in the development of capital improvement and rehabilitation budgets for the properties. 3. Researches current and future expenditures for the properties. 4. Coordinates with Administration and Finance staff to assess the cost of effectiveness of capital spending. Coordinates lease-hold impacts of construction with interested parties. 1. Represents tenant concerns to project staff. 2. Coordinates impact and project work schedule with tenants, Building Inspector, Tenant Construction Office, MPA Telecommunications, Utilities, Administration and Finance and Legal Departments. 3. Prepares project documentation, conducts briefings on project status and reports. On-call 24/7 for all facility related security, access control, maintenance or other emergency issues. SECONDARY JOB TASKS: Completes selected projects as assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements and Qualifications EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience in property management facility and/or construction environment required. EXPERIENCE IN RELATED FIELD: 8-10 years' experience in a commercial property or facilities management function including capital project management and security systems management required. Master's degree may substitute for some portion of experience. UNIQUE EXPERTISE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATIONS: 1. Current and valid driver's license, unrestricted except for corrective lenses and automatic transmission. 2. Ability to pass airfield driving test to obtain Aerodrome Ramp, Apron, and Airfield license. 3. Ability to pass Massport security clearance and obtain Massport Security Badge. 4. Knowledge of Lotus 1-2-3, Excel, WordPerfect, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Energy Management Systems, Security Systems, Access Control, maintenance work order software and other programs as needed. 5. Working knowledge of financial statement analysis and budgeting techniques. 6. Working knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems. 7. Working knowledge of mechanical and engineering issues in building operations. 8. Working knowledge of architectural plan and specifications reading. 9. Ability to pass a Massport controlled substance testing and background security check.
