Job Title Alumni Relations
The Texas Wesleyan University Office of Alumni Relations is seeking a work-study student employee. Under the direction of the Director of Alumni Relations, this part-time position is responsible for assisting with the planning and creation of department communications and events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with creation and implementation of news stories, email communications and the monthly alumni newsletter
Create graphics for social media and communications
Assist with event planning, set-up and take-down for the office of advancement and alumni relations
Assist with the creation of social media strategy and post to alumni social media platforms
Track social media engagement on various platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
Assist with alumni mailings
Assist with administrative duties of the alumni office
Provide excellent customer service when answering incoming office phone calls and with campus guests
Education, Certifications and/or Licenses Experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ideal candidate will have the ability to write and/or edit promotional material for alumni events and program postings
Graphic design ability using Canva or Adobe
Proficient knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
