Award winning Altitude Sky Lounge is looking for dynamic and innovative leader to assist the Beverage Operations Manager in making an impact on our team and guests. Located on the rooftop of the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter Hotel, Altitude is a fast paced environment with an energetic atmosphere with spectacular views.

The salary range for this position is $75,000.00-$80,000.00.

This position reports to the Beverage Operations Manager and may be required to work a flexible schedule as needed based on business needs. This will include day, evening and overnight shifts, both weekdays, weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor, control and report on the various outlet budgets and their components (labor costs, beverage costs, supplies, equipment, etc…) to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while ensuring adequate supplies and staff are on hand to provide top quality customer service

  • Manage the Human Resources in the various outlets in order to attract, retain and motivate the employees including participation in recruiting, training, coaching and counseling.

  • Implement company programs and manage the operations of the bars to ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations and all other federal, state and local regulations and to ensure an optimal level of service, quality and hospitality are provided to the guests

  • Maintain control of all labor and liquor costs.

  • Create, recommend and manage the implementation of promotions, displays, bottle service presentation and other ideas within corporate guidelines to capture more in house guests and a larger share of the local market.

  • Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales and prospects.

  • Resolve customer complaints promptly.

  • Organize and adjust staff schedules in accordance with available resources.

  • Monitor cleanliness and hygiene of bar area.

  • Oversee the bar display to maximize functionality and attractiveness.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and the operation of all machinery that is essential to running the operation .

  • Monitor and order supplies.

  • Other tasks as assigned or directed.

  • Ability to understand Guests' service needs.

  • Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and complete all work assigned.

  • Ability to converse calmly with irate Guests', co-workers or supervisors in sometimes tense situations.

  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers and other departments as part of a team.

  • Ability to build morale and spirit.

  • Ability to adhere to work schedule and arrive on time in a neat and alert condition and adhere to company dress standards.

  • Ability to follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation.

  • Ability to meet or exceed productivity and performance standards and complete tasks as assigned by supervisor or manager.

  • Ability to take and give direction.

  • Ability to interact with people beyond giving and receiving instructions, particularly in resolving complaints and problems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have 2 years' bar manager or assistant bar manager experience

  • Must have RBS ID and Alcohol Certification

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or 2 years' equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
