Job Summary

Engage hotel guests to enhance the service experience through activation of all outlet services within the lobby area (e.g., Restaurant & Bar, Front Desk, Business Center, Lounge, etc.). Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services (e.g., transportation, reservations, dry cleaning) by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers. Respond to special requests from guests with unique needs and follow up to ensure satisfaction.

Gather, summarize, and provide local area knowledge to inform guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and local activities. Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., Bellperson, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage Server) as necessary to resolve guest call, request, or problem. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.

Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.

Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: * Open housekeeping: check rooms inventory, assign rooms to room/suite attendants * Inspect rooms, complete reports, verify status reports; report clean suites to hotel front desk and / or load into automated property management systems. * Monitor payroll reports and work schedules * Monitor lost and found program. * Ensure stock rooms and carts are maintained with proper supplies What are we looking for? EDUCATION High School graduate or equivalent preferred EXPERIENCE 1-2 years housekeeping supervisory experience in hotel preferred 4 or more years hotel housekeeping experience LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES Special licenses or certificates are not required but considered a plus. GROOMING All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as specified in hotel (specific) standards. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Read, write and speak English fluently. Knowledge of other languages, especially Spanish is a plus. * Knowledge of inventories, scheduling and productivity. * High school math level required. * Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members verbally and in written form. * Ability to inspect 25 to 80 rooms per day. * Ability to clean rooms, when needed. * Physically able to move and / or operate large objects, such as: maids carts, suite furniture, large bags of linen, vacuum cleaners and boxes of inventory. * Ability to follow and enforce all hotel standards, including safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency situations. * Knowledge of and ability to operate computer.
