Our May Center Schools for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, and our May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders offer full-day, year-round educational services to children and adolescents.

Our schools focus on building communication, social, behavioral, vocational, and academic skills. We base our programs on applied behavior analysis, or ABA, which has been shown through hundreds of scientific studies to be the most effective method to teach children and adolescents with autism and other developmental disabilities.

The May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders successfully educates students with complex needs and co-occurring diagnoses. These young people often require a combination of physical, medical, cognitive and social/behavioral therapies in an environment that supports skill development and rehabilitation.

Our May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders offer full-day, year-round educational services to children and adolescents focusing on building communication, social, behavioral, vocational, and academic skills. We base our programs on applied behavior analysis, or ABA, which has been shown through hundreds of scientific studies to be the most effective method to teach children and adolescents with brain injury and neurobehavioral disorders.

This opportunity is for a nurse who is available to work on weekdays, weeknights, and holidays, with the opportunity to pick up mid-week shifts if available. As a relief RN, you are required to work a minimum of two evening/night shifts per month.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Oversee healthcare and healthcare case management of students.

  • Provide health assessments/first aid for ill or injured students, and first aid as needed for staff.

  • Triage cases as appropriate.

  • Administer medications to students.

  • Maintain student healthcare records, and staff healthcare records as appropriate.

  • Provide staff healthcare trainings and perform medication administration observations.

  • Provide health education to staff and oversee workers compensation for injured staff.

  • Travel to residential group homes, pharmacies, field trips, etc. as needed.

  • Participate in the holiday rotation.

  • Exercise independent nursing judgement.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in MA.

  • 1-year minimum related work experience.

  • Previous medication administration teaching experience preferred.

  • Valid driver's license

  • Pediatric and/or young adult experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Adept with email and word processing programs.
