Job Description:

Position Title: Part-time Intervention Assistant

School/Department: Districtwide

Reports to: Building Administrator, EL Coordinator, K-5 ELA Coordinator, K-5 Math Coordinator and/or 6-12 SRBI Coordinator

Work Year: August 22, 2024 - June, 2025

Education/Training Requirements:

• CSDE Certified and/or Non-Certified (Bachelor Degree preferred)
• Rates range from $20/hr to $40/hr contingent on experience, degree and certification

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide small group instruction in the areas of language acquisition, reading and/or math.

• Provide readiness skills to Kindergarten students.

• Provide readiness services to kindergarten students.

• Monitors student progress throughout the duration of the program using various assessment tools, if appropriate.

• Complies with all published and disseminated rules, regulations, and policies of the Board of Education.

• Provides instruction, as directed by the Administrator/Director/Coordinator/Teacher to students in need of intervention.

• Respects the privacy of the people for whom services are provided.

• Provides feedback on student progress to the Administrator/Director/Teacher.

• Establishes and maintains sound relationships with students, parents, teachers, non-teaching personnel, and administrators.
