Airport Security Compliance Officer

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Two years of experience performing security inspections and investigations at an airport, seaport, intermodal facility or permanent entertainment structure or sporting venue such as stadium, race track, casino or amusement park to include supervisory experience are required.

Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification, and other such procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by federal law is a continuing condition of employment.

Recruitment Notes

Applicant will be responsible for performing inspections and audits of the MIA facilities to identify security vulnerabilities and initiate the implementation of mitigating measures. Incumbents also conduct thorough investigations into security violations, interviewing airport personnel, reviewing reports, CCTV footage and deploying other investigative tools and tactics.
