The Bangor International Airport has a great opportunity for the right person within the Compliance Division as a Curbside/Ramp Security professional. This position serves as Airport unarmed security, responsible for ensuring compliance with security requirements at Bangor International Airport and providing great customer service as needed. There are no Law Enforcement functions in this position.

SOME OF THE DUTIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

Patrols facilities at Bangor International Airport enforcing City of Bangor and Airport specific parking regulations.

Directs customers to proper parking facilities and assists with special needs as needed or requested.

Assists with transportation of customers to remote shuttle parking, using approved Airport vehicles, if needed and as directed.

Assists with locating owners of unattended vehicles as necessary and works with Bangor Police Department to ensure that vehicles left unattended are properly ticketed and towed if required.

Assists Bangor Police Department and Passenger Service with Airport alarms and other security or passenger service functions as needed.

Monitors Airport vehicle gates if needed and ensures all vehicles and personnel entering the Airport at these checkpoints are properly credentialed to do so.

Performs personnel and vehicle inspections as needed, and as directed by the Airport Compliance Office per the Airport Security Plan.

Performs sterile area sweeps as required.

Monitors ground transportation providers for regulatory compliance per Airport Ground Transportation Regulations and City Ordinance.

Assists Airport as package or mail courier between Airport and other City departments as needed.

May act as "Trusted Agent" for the Regulatory Compliance office performing all badging functions as directed by the Compliance Office

Performs related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Incumbent must be able to pass a fingerprint based Criminal History Record Check before hire and must be able to maintain a clean criminal record as a condition of continued employment.

Incumbent must maintain a certification as Constable for the City of Bangor on an annual basis in order to be able to ticket vehicles at the Airport.

Ability to follow department personnel policies and the ability to maintain accurate records and prepare factual reports.

Ability to work while standing and walking for long periods of time.

Ability to lift at least 45 lbs in order to transport interoffice mail and packages daily.

Requires possession of a current and valid driver's license

General knowledge of, and experience with the use of, office equipment and computers, using Microsoft Office programs is desired

Pay range is $15.39 - $20.69 per hour and position comes with paid time off, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and the benefit of working with a great team in an exciting location.
