About you

This is a great opportunity to learn avionics. The ideal candidate has the following qualifications.

  • Valid FAA A&P Certification [Airframe and Powerplant License]

  • Valid Driver License

  • Flexibility. Must be able to work any shift, any day, including holidays and weekends.

  • 0-2 Years Aviation Maintenance experience. Avionics experience a plus.

  • Must have excellent customer service skills. Able to be the face of Panasonic for our aviation customers and partners. Works well in teams.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States


Aircraft/IFE Maintenance and Support

  • Perform built-in test (BIT) and manual test of Panasonic Avionics Corporation IFE systems.

  • Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling or seat consoles in which failures occur down to the line replaceable modules, using knowledge of electronic theory.

  • Identify necessary repairs to restore functional acceptance, which may require the removal and replacement of defective line replaceable modules and/or cabling.

  • Operate a vehicle on airport property and around aircraft.

  • Operate airline communications equipment.

  • Communicate and interface with the customer.


  • Document the testing and repairs using computer and bar-coding equipment.

  • Receive and prepare parts.

  • Assist in tracking the spares inventory.

  • Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.


  • Ability to pass extensive security and background checks.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to work in a high-stress, high-pressure environment.

  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.

  • Works on problems of moderate to diverse scope requiring considerable judgment and initiative.

  • Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.

  • As a skilled specialist completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways.

  • Knowledge of electronic and troubleshooting generally acquired through commercial aviation, military experience or technical school education combined with one or two years of related industry experience.

  • Must have the legal right to work in the assigned country through nationality, visa or work permits.

  • May require both international and domestic travel, up to 25 % of the time, to other line station locations to provide relief from time to time as required.

  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to meet the requirements of the airport authority for access and vehicle operation on their premises.

  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends and holidays.

  • Manual dexterity to grasp and work with tool parts and equipment.

  • Ability to climb and work from ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending or twisting for extended periods and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to operate under extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces for extended periods.

  • Ability to cope with environmental conditions which may include exposure to congestion and varying noise levels.

  • Climb and work from ladder or platforms.

VIEW JOBS 2/27/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-05-28T00:00 The work of the Aircraft Cleaner classification, depending on assignment, includes any or all of the following; performing aircraft interior cleaning, including equipping the aircraft cabin for flight according to specifications, with equipment and cabin services supplies; cleaning interior of aircraft by hand or powered equipment using cleaners; completion of the aircraft cleaning bill of work as required; stocking and cleaning of vehicles used in the cleaning functions; stocking and cleaning of the cabin services make-up rooms area; stocking and maintaining cabin services kits; disposing of trash, rubbish and waste that is incidental and related to the applicable job functions. As may apply to work assignments, using cleaning fluids and materials, such as washing solutions, scrapers, squeegees, wringer pails and vacuum cleaners. Completes forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures. As may apply to any particular work assignment, will complete additional jobs as directed by managements, and will work according to Company policy and/or regulations. It is understood and agreed that the Company will determine the need and use of the Aircraft Cleaner classification, pursuant to customer contract needs. In those situations where it is determined that the Aircraft Cleaner classification is not needed, the above work will continue to be performed by the Ramp Service Clerk classification. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Comply with WFS site security procedures for assigned warehouse and other operations. Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors' activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program. Required Skills Must be able to perform the following functions in variable weather conditions as well as environment conditions, i.e. jet engine fumes, vehicles emissions, dust and jet engine noise. Cabin Service Equip airplane cabin, by reading check list specifications, with equipment and supplies such as rugs, linens, blankets, etc., as well as carrying supplies weighing up to 50lbs. on board aircraft. Lifts refuse containers weighing up to 50lbs; reach, bend, and twist in confined space to hand clean, using cleaning fluid and materials, the interior or aircraft including meals trays, ash trays, lavatories, overhead storage bins and buffets. Cognitive skills to check condition, clean, sort, count, salvage and/or store equipment, and assemble kits. Operate vacuum cleaner and similar mechanized cleaning aids. Cognitive skills to check deliveries of supplies against requisitions to determine discrepancies. Ability to judge distances. Reports to work on a regular and timely basis. Required Experience Must be at least 18 years of age. MUST be able to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off. Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
