We are looking for an Aircraft Quality/Maintenance Inspector to join our team to perform quality assurance activities on Non-Standard Rotary Wing Aircraft to include assessments and evaluations of aircraft to ensure compliance to OEM standards and US Government acceptance procedures.
Your day-to-day work will include:
Provide technical expertise in performing quality inspection and acceptance testing of non-standard aircraft systems, modifications and associated documentation and equipment, and performs inspections and testing at production and depot facilities, modification facilities, and fielding locations CONUS and OCONUS.
Provide test reports for all inspection and acceptance activities during several phases of the aircraft overhaul process.
Provide expertise in inspection techniques and assists in the development of inspection and acceptance plans and procedures IAW designed and approved Aircraft Inspection Guides.
Evaluate work products to assess quality and reports findings. Researches alternative solutions to problems, determines proper approaches, makes verbal and/or written recommendations to appropriate parties and implements solutions. Coordinates implementation of approved recommendations.
Present inspection findings to the appropriate levels of management verbally and through the preparation of written reports.
Participate in special projects, external audits and process improvements in support of quality assurance initiatives.
Revise standard practices and procedures as required.
Review and validate recommended avionics form, fit, function specifications, interface control documents, and aircraft integration documents for non-standard aircraft and modifications.
Analyze aircraft avionics platforms from both domestic and foreign manufactures to determine if interchangeability and/or interoperability can be obtained for non-standard aircraft.
Perform onsite quality surveillance at OCONUS overhaul facilities.
At a minimum you should have:
An active secret security clearance.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ years of quality assurance and/or aircraft maintenance.
Experience with Mi-17 series of aircraft.
FAA Licensed Air Frame and Power Plant Certification.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Good communication skills to interact and present findings to team members, customers, management and support personnel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, even when remote support is required.
50% travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations
