Join us for a rewarding career in the aviation industryBECOME A AIRCRAFT PAINTEROur Aircraft Painter is specialized in applying paint and other coatings to aircraft exteriors, working meticulously to adhere to specific design patterns and color schemes as per airline or manufacturer specifications.
This role requires a strong understanding of various painting techniques and the ability to work with different materials, ensuring durability and resistance to environmental factors. You must also comply with strict safety and environmental guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Additionally, this position often involves preparing surfaces for painting, performing minor repairs, and conducting quality inspections to ensure a high standard of finish.WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK AS A AIRCRAFT PAINTER•Prepare aircraft surfaces for painting, including sanding, cleaning, and masking•Apply primer and paint to aircraft exteriors according to specified color schemes and designs•Utilize various painting equipment such as sprayers and brushes to achieve desired finishes•Ensure paint applications meet thickness and quality standards•Mix and match paints to achieve exact color requirements•Inspect painted aircraft for any imperfections or inconsistencies•Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations•Keep accurate records of paint supplies, inventory, and maintenance of painting equipment•Coordinate with maintenance teams for aircraft availability and scheduling•Provide exceptional attention to detail to ensure all areas of the aircraft are impeccably cleaned•Follow environmental guidelines for waste disposal and chemical use•Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all cleaning activities•Document completed detailing tasks and report any issues or irregularities•Perform minor repairs on aircraft surfaces as needed before painting•Coordinate with maintenance teams for any special cleaning needs•Assist in training new staff in aircraft detailing procedures and standards•May be assigned other duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS•18 years of age or older•Eligible to work in the United States•1 year of aircraft painting experience•Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record•Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus (unless required, list as required)•Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents•Ability to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices•Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means•Pass a background check and drug screen•Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S.
Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)•Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation
