Aircraft Painter

Aerotek is looking to hire Aircraft Painters to support a long-term contract-to-hire position in Oregon.Job Description Responsible for applying coatings onto aircraft parts such as rotor heads, transmissions, engine cases, fuel controls, and rotor blades. Several times per year, the interior or exteriors of the aircraft themselves will be painted (heavy-lift helicopters). The different coating types for these parts are dependent on the skill level and years of experience of the painter.

This position supports the effective operation of heavy-lift helicopters, which aid in firefighting, infrastructure, supply, aircraft rebuild, and other services for domestic and international customers. Primarily using epoxy and polyurethane paints, and HVLP paint guns.Hard Skills Read and interpret maintenance manuals Properly handle, mask, prepare for paint, and paint aircraft components and surfaces Seal, prepare, mask, paint, and repaint aircraft structure and structural repairs Document all inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in the appropriate maintenance records 2 years aircraft fuel controls repair or related components
