An established aerospace company located near the coast in South East Florida is looking for experienced Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Manufacturing Engineers ranging from I to III level experience and a Manufacturing Engineering Manager are needed as this company continues to grow and increase production. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the Manufacturing Engineering Team in aircraft assembly. This role is the liaison between the Design Engineers and manufacturing. They are responsible to lead problem solving processes that will eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and identify process improvements in order to improve the overall manufacturing processes on the shop floor and maximize output. This role works closely with Production Management in all aspects including shop floor layout design and equipment purchases and implementation.

Pay, Benefits, and Shift Info:

- Salaries Range from $90,000 - $125,000 plus - annually - depending on relevant experience.

- 11 paid holidays, plus PTO - Opportunities for long weekends to explore sunny South Florida! Factory closes the week between Christmas and New Year's and all employees are paid for this time; days are not counted towards PTO balances

Responsibilities Summary:

  • Determine “make versus buy” decisions changing production methods to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate outsourcing of parts.
  • Conceptualize tooling and fabrication designs
  • Understand equipment used in production and stay aware of trends in manufacturing
  • Provide budgeting information and project updates/status to management.
  • Utilize computer aided design (CAD) for layouts and line flow.
  • Conduct workflow, capacity, quantitative, and throughput analyses.
  • Conduct cost analysis as required.
  • Interface with machine operators, middle and upper management, and vendors.
  • Promote and apply Lean Tools (5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis); monitor effectiveness.
  • Measure Lean implementations results.

Qualification Summary – Aircraft Manufacturing Engineer

  • BS in Manufacturing Engineering or Aerospace related Engineering field AND/OR on the job experience as a Manufacturing Engineer and Manufacturing Engineering Manager in aerospace, automotive, or related manufacturing field
  • Experience with CAD, Unigraphics II, Microsoft Project and Office
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, and measuring equipment are required to perform the duties of this position
  • All employees must pass background check, drug screen, and physical and provide a copy of their HS Diploma
