Job Description:

  • Inspect and maintain airframes, power plants, prop rotor, ECS, fuels and associated components.

  • Perform preflight, post flight, and phase inspections, inspecting and maintaining various systems, fuel, flight controls, prop rotor (to include weight and balance), utility, and power plants.

  • Perform Hub, blade fold rigs, etc.

  • Perform heavy maintenance to include engine, PRGB, Hub removal and replacement.

  • Perform acceptance inspections of critical flight control components after return from rework or upon receipt from manufacturer as well as aircraft acceptance and transfer inspections.

  • Perform Scheduled/Unscheduled Maintenance of CV-22 aircraft.

  • Perform complex system/sub-system troubleshooting.

  • Perform completion of O&I-level aircraft modifications/Time Compliance Technical Orders and One-Time Inspections.

  • On-the-job training and documentation of training of active duty maintenance technicians.

  • Perform Flight line driving/towing of aircraft/equipment.

  • This position will be a MECH II at Hurlburt Field, Fl.

Basic Qualifications

  • Prior V-22 Air Force 7-level or USMC CDI qualification or a minimum of seven years continuous aircraft maintenance background/experience in an Aircraft Mechanical specialty on any fixed-wing or rotary aircraft

  • One (1) year of documented recent (within the past three years) experience on the V-22 is required

  • Extensive working knowledge using technical publications, bulletins, diagrams, ground support equipment and precision tools in accordance with the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM)

Job Description Candidates for Deployed Systems Support Engineer must be self-motivated and strong communicators. A strong mechanical aptitude is also required. Key functions of the Deployed Systems Support Engineer include technical assistance and training to end users and Contractors, as well as the definition of specifications to engineers. Typical Duties * Conducting system education and training seminars for end users, designers, contractors and others as requested * Continuous training on assigned systems as these items receive updates and enhancements * Assisting end users with the specification of new requirements and capabilities * Assisting end users and contractors with jobsite failure analysis and hands-on work assignments when required. * Constructing and deconstructing tactical communications kits to include hardware, software and configuration of equipment * Maintaining space cleanliness * Following all safety and quality standards, codes and industry best practices * Working at heights in confined spaces * Lifting up to 50 pounds and using appropriate equipment to move heavier items * Operating vehicles, hand tools and test equipment. TS/SCI Clearance Required Education: BS degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of direct experience, or a MS degree and thirteen (13) years of direct experience, or Ph.D. degrees and nine (9) years direct experience. Required Experience: 8 years of Deployed Systems Support Engineer experience or equivalent Required Certification: Employment is contingent upon obtaining and/or maintaining required certifications. * MCSA: windows Server * CCNA Routing & Switching * DOD 8570 IAT Level II or higher Preferred Experience: * Experience with TACLAN, Shark and other SOF Tactical Systems Work Environment: * Work will be performed inside a large facility or outside in varying conditions (i.e. heat, ice, wind, snow, rain) * Work assignments vary based on client requirements. Position may require night and weekend work. Physical Requirements: * Climbing, working at heights and in small confined spaces such as under raised floors, inside closets and server racks. Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel or crouch for long periods of time. Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperature than standard office environmental conditions. Lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds. * Extended periods of standing while providing training * Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop. Filing required. Will require lifting and carrying computer equipment, boxes of supplies or files up to 50 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone. Equipment and Machines: * Operating vehicles, hand tools and test equipment. * General office equipment, which includes: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment. * Servers, switches, deployment kits and other computer equipment used to support network operations. Attendance: * Work assignments dependent on requirements by the client. It is important to be able to work at least 8 hours a day for 5 days per week (Monday through Friday). * On-Call or after hours support may be required Travel: * Continental and Oversees travel may be required. It is important to maintain a current passport.
