Job Summary:

Jet Access and our family of companies is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Manager for our Part 135 Charter Operations. This individual will work closely with our maintenance and Pilot teams ensuring all FAA requirements are met, aircraft are safe for flight, compliant with applicable FARs, and work on regulatory projects with the team. Successful candidates will be highly detail oriented, have prior 14 CFR Part 135 experience, and enjoy a fast paced quickly moving environment.

Core Schedule:

Days: Monday thru Friday

Hours: 8:00 am

  • 5:00 pm

Rotating on call or evening/weekend hours will be required for this role.

Compensation:

Salary range of $75,000 - 100,000 (annualized)- paid bi-weekly

Day in the Life:

  • Oversee Maintenance on JA company aircraft as assigned by VP of Maintenance or DOM.

  • Provide status updates as required to the DOM or designee.

  • Responsible for maintaining JA aircraft and equipment to ensure continuous safety, airworthiness and compliance status within the approved maintenance programs, As and company policies.

  • Negotiate and secure quote/contracts with agencies, OMPs required for aircraft, and aircraft parts and component repair, overhaul, modification, etc.

  • Coordinate with departments within the company on matters relative to the operations, quality assurance, and maintenance and scheduling of aircraft.

  • Review vendor paperwork and construct RTS packages for review and approval for aircraft return to

  • service.

  • Review aircraft inspection requirements prior to scheduled maintenance events and monitoring aircraft schedules. Coordinate with VP & DOM to schedule aircraft down as required.

  • Coordinates maintenance planning to ensure adequate aircraft down time is available. Ensure adequate information is available to coordinate parts in time to meet lead time requirements.

  • Assist Quality Manager in aircraft tracking system review and update as required.

  • Review discrepancies and direct or accomplish corrective action as authorized.

  • Schedule routine maintenance, component changes, inspection, airworthiness directives and service bulletins.

  • Establish work assignments and track their completion by vendor maintenance personnel as required on out of service aircraft.

  • Supervise On-Call OMPs performing maintenance and returning company aircraft to service.

  • Provide technical and logistical support to Maintenance/OMP's and Flight Crews for active aircraft maintenance discrepancies, Minimum Equipment List, Configuration Deviation List, and NonMEL Deferred Maintenance Items (DMIs) to determine proper and timely corrective action of discrepancies.

  • Ensure that all maintenance performed on aircraft, power plants, appliances and components is performed in accordance with the approved maintenance and inspection program, in accordance with the applicable manufacture's maintenance manuals and in accordance with current Regulations.

  • Accomplish maintenance personnel or OMP training as required.

  • Responsible for the oversight of the control and maintenance of calibrated tools and test equipment used by them or OMP's they oversee.

  • Coordinate the approval of Outsource Maintenance Providers or aircraft maintenance and parts.

  • Maintain reports and records of auditing and evaluations of Outsource Maintenance Providers.

  • Maintain aircraft original logbook entries and certs in a neat and orderly fashion. Copies of required documents will be sent in to the JA Quality department.

  • Work directly with DOM and keep him informed of any maintenance or paperwork requirements of the aircraft assigned

What will make you successful:

  • Associate degree in aviation maintenance or related technical training in a related field preferred.

  • Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) Certificate required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent ability to understand and translate customer requirements and interact and cooperate with company employees in all departments.

  • Tenacious self-starter with a mature outlook. Proven ability to operate independently and achieve results; enthusiastic, committed, and conscientious.

  • Creative strategic thinker able to meaningfully contribute to the development of the company's short and long-term strategy.

  • Effective decision maker and problem solver. Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose a solution that benefits both the supplier and the customer.

  • Strong computer literacy and quantitative skills to manage data, process and distill information and communicate effectively.

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Adobe.

  • Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations (14 CFR 135) and associated paperwork requirements.

  • Valid state driver's license

  • Some travel may be required.

  • Must successfully pass background check and drug test.

  • Ability to read and respond to E-Mail communications.

  • Self-starter with the ability to self-manage their daily tasks while having the ability to work well within a team setting.
