Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to design and develop wiring harness/cable assembly installations into air vehicles for multiple aerospace programs using SAE AS 50881 and proven commercial practices as a guide. The candidate must have extensive experience with wire harness design and routing principles such as emi separation, military connectors and backshells, shielding and overbraid, splicing, minimum bend radius, chafe protection, electrical bonding, and grounding.

This position will require inter-departmental coordination with other vehicle sub-system departments including aircraft structure, equipment installation, hydraulics, Environmental Control Systems, and manufacturing teams while also providing leadership skills to guide a team of engineers to the successful completion of major projects while mentoring junior level engineers on technical principles.

Responsibilities will also include facilitation of design reviews with key stakeholders to ensure designs meet requirements. Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university with a minimum of 9 years' experience in electrical design of air vehicle systems or a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 13 years' experience in electrical design of air vehicle systems.

Active in Scope Secret Security Clearance required to start

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 7 years of applicable experience.

Individual will work as part of a team providing flight support; interpretation of surveillance systems products; O&M on aerostat avionics, acoustic sensors, ground sensors; operation of EO/IR sensor payloads, radar systems, military and telemetry radios. Conducts preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment, as well as O&M of aerostats and mooring systems in support of the Persistent Surveillance Systems - Tethered (PSS-T) program. Individual will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of Network cable infrastructure to include Fiber Optics, Ethernet, Coax, Twisted pair, etc. Individual will additionally maintain DCE/DTE node equipment such hubs, modems, switching/routing systems, etc. Individual will be considered an Communications Infrastructure and Network Node Specialist. Performs other duties as assigned. The physical demands of this position and the operational requirements of the equipment can be substantial. Position often requires working in extreme temperatures, at heights greater than 15 feet, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and working in confined spaces while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Individuals must attend the Army – CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) and successfully complete Customer required pre-deployment physical and dental exams (USCENTCOM MOD 12 w/Tab A)(final medical deployment eligibility determination lies with the clinician providers assigned to the deployment center); prior to traveling into theater. This assignment supports rotations in the United States and OCONUS to include Southwest Asia. Individual will perform duties while living in austere environments. Mission requirements dictate that Individuals be available for transfer on short-notice to work locations throughout the world. Basic Qualifications: Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Current or active DoD Secret clearance. Ability to successfully complete Customer required pre-deployment physical and dental exams in accordance with USCENTCOM MOD 12 w/Tab A (final medical deployment eligibility determination lies with the clinician providers assigned to the deployment center). Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. At least 2 years experience within discipline IT with qualifications at the 10 series or greater from U.S. Army MOS 25L/N or other military branch equivalent or industry occupational specialties such as a Network Installation (BICSI or Network+CompTIA) O&M of electronic equipment to include one or more of the following: * DCE/DTE node equipment such as hubs, modems, switching/routing systems, etc * Video Distribution Systems * Navigation Systems * Avionics systems * Radio Communications Equipment * Radar Systems * RF Telemetry Systems * EO/IR Gimbaled Camera Systems * Fiber Optic Transmission Systems (analysis, splicing, termination) * Electrical and Data Cable Terminations * Test and Diagnostics Equipment (TMDE) Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics Proficient with the MS Office Suite and all common Windows/Unix/Linux OS.
