Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to design and develop wiring harness/cable assembly installations into air vehicles for multiple aerospace programs using SAE AS 50881 and proven commercial practices as a guide. The candidate must have extensive experience with wire harness design and routing principles such as emi separation, military connectors and backshells, shielding and overbraid, splicing, minimum bend radius, chafe protection, electrical bonding, and grounding.

This position will require inter-departmental coordination with other vehicle sub-system departments including aircraft structure, equipment installation, hydraulics, Environmental Control Systems, and manufacturing teams while also providing leadership skills to guide a team of engineers to the successful completion of major projects while mentoring junior level engineers on technical principles.

Responsibilities will also include facilitation of design reviews with key stakeholders to ensure designs meet requirements. Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university with a minimum of 9 years' experience in electrical design of air vehicle systems or a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 13 years' experience in electrical design of air vehicle systems.

Active in Scope Secret Security Clearance required to start

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 7 years of applicable experience.

This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. The selected candidate will develop and implement test plans in a desk and/or production environment supporting various space, aircraft, and ground systems. Essential Functions: * Knowledge emphasis on electrical subsystem testing requirements, CKT testing, RF Testing, & Fiber Optic testing * Responsibilities include subsystems analysis; test method selection; test planning; test equipment integration; test procedure development and update; test setup and execution; test data acquisition and analysis; test reporting * Must be able to work closely with other engineers, project leaders, and test technicians supporting production line testing, as well as work within difficult schedules and budget constraints * Must be able to obtain and maintain Program Access * This position requires temporary work in Melbourne, FL before transitioning to Palmdale, CA The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
