Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to design and develop wiring harness/cable assembly installations into air vehicles for multiple aerospace programs using SAE AS 50881 and proven commercial practices as a guide. The candidate must have extensive experience with wire harness design and routing principles such as emi separation, military connectors and backshells, shielding and overbraid, splicing, minimum bend radius, chafe protection, electrical bonding, and grounding.
This position will require inter-departmental coordination with other vehicle sub-system departments including aircraft structure, equipment installation, hydraulics, Environmental Control Systems, and manufacturing teams while also providing leadership skills to guide a team of engineers to the successful completion of major projects while mentoring junior level engineers on technical principles.
Responsibilities will also include facilitation of design reviews with key stakeholders to ensure designs meet requirements. Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university with a minimum of 9 years' experience in electrical design of air vehicle systems or a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 13 years' experience in electrical design of air vehicle systems.
Active in Scope Secret Security Clearance required to start
Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 7 years of applicable experience.
