Position Description Aircraft Component Repair Technician The Aircraft Component Repair Technician will inspect, disassemble, clean, troubleshoot, overhaul, repair and test fuel and hydraulic components. The ideal candidate will help support production and quality activities to ensure conformance with established procedures within the FAA Approved Repair Station.Duties:
Inspect, disassembly, assemble & test hydraulic and fuel components
Utilize hand and specialty tools daily
Read and interpret technical data and drawings
Operate test equipment as needed to ensure components pass function test
Verify that all components are tested to the appropriate specifications to ensure airworthiness
Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed
Troubleshoot components failing test or set-up to determine root cause of failure
Operate information systems required to perform assigned tasks specifically with Microsoft Office
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
1-5 years of aviation accessory experience required
High mechanical aptitude required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and data required
Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality
Experience working with precision measuring tools
A strong customer-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt and be flexible
Basic computer operating skills
Physical Requirements
In this position you must be able to stand and occasionally sit
Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance
Ability to lift up to 20 to 40 lbs.
Excellent visual acuity
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, full-time with flexible 1st shift hours.
