General Job Description: Performs maintenance, modifications, and repair of furnishings, cabinets, tables, bulkheads, wood trim and other interior components.

Cabinet Maker Job Duties:

Operation of woodworking machines and use of hand tools to cut, shape and form hardwood, and veneers.

Prepare and interpret drawings and blueprints.

Proper measuring of the interior space is imperative.

Able to custom build pieces in an efficient manner.

Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines.

Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other peoples property and


Will always practice good housekeeping to ensure a safe and non-cluttered worksite.

Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices.

follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including

safe operation of machines and equipment.

Evaluates quality cosmetic appearance and serviceability of all installed wood components and plastic laminate panels for scheduled repair.

Duties may involve working with oils, lubricants, and chemical cleaners and solutions.

Measures and cuts vinyls, plastics, phenolics, composites and metals accurately and with minimal waste.

Assembles pins and glues cabinet shells made from polymer and metal honeycombs with high degrees of accuracy, and ability to set inserts.

Properly installs drawer slides, hinges, latches, and other aircraft specific hardware in subassemblies.

Disassembles and reassembles aircraft cabinetry, strips laminate or veneer covering from existing cabinets.

Cuts, fits, and trims laminate or veneer coverings and repairs damaged cabinetry.

Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

5-10 years experience with sanding, prepping, cleaning, spraying preferred.

5-10 years experience with mixing, paint, solvents preferred.

The ability to read measurements, work or calculate numbers, use handheld tools, including but not limited to handheld pallet jacks, pneumatic staple guns, industrial hot glue guns, and power drills required.


This position is for a highly energetic individual with good people skills and decision-making metrics, working with wood veneer and composite panels.

Works with wood, metal, and composite materials

Uses and maintains power tools along with other shop equipment

The ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move materials up to 50 lbs.

The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be 8-12 hours)

Must be 18 years of age

Valid Drivers License

VIEW JOBS 9/26/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-12-25T00:00 <p>The Aircraft Interior Technician removes, installs, fabricates or refurbishes aircraft interiors, which may include items such as trim, carpet, cabinetry, seats, upholstery, panels and other items in compliance with all regulations, including FAA, OSHA safety and EPA.</p><p><strong>Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>Respond to all requests for touch up/repairing of corporate aircraft interiors, as they arise. </p><p>Work with fabric, vinyl and leather hides, composites and other materials using specified adhesives, sewing equipment, hardware, hand tools and various power tools </p><p>Fit panels, cabin headliners, upper sidewall panels, lower sidewall panels, cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads </p><p>Leather repair </p><p>Carpet repairs and fabrication </p><p>Comply with safety, and housekeeping policies and use personal protective equipment as required. </p><p>Work with leads and higher skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements that increase safety, reduce cost, cycle time, and man hours using lean manufacturing and other improvement techniques. </p><p>Other duties as required. </p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><p>High School Diploma or GED equivalent </p><p>Physical Requirements: </p><p>Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English clearly </p><p>Ability to climb, twist, bend, crouch, stoop, kneel, and crawl </p><p>Ability to move in tight quarters </p><p>Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods </p><p>Ability to work in all weather conditions as needed </p><p>Ability to regularly push/pull up to 50 pounds </p><p>Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds </p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>Full-time, PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision benefits, 401K, PM, and overnight shift differentials of $10-$12/hr. on top of base pay.</strong></p> Up North Aero Kinston NC
