Responsibilities

Candidate will be responsible for providing Airborne Special Operations Forces (SOF) subject matter expertise, coordination, execution, management for national level exercises / demonstrations / experiments on behalf of the USAFWC, HAF, and CCMD staff. Candidate will assist in the development of exercise constructs to include building white scripts and incorporating advanced datalinks.

Candidate will develop and present exercise-related briefings to command leadership. The successful candidate will facilitate coordination and exercise planning and control with appropriate USAFWC and external and partner agencies, to include Department of Energy, the NTTR, and local land owners. Candidate will provide results and lessons learned briefings to exercise participants at a senior instructor level.

In addition, the candidate will assist in the development and publishing of formal exercise after-action reports in coordination with the MAJCOM Staff. Candidate will provide advice, recommendations, and briefings to staff principals, agency chiefs, and external organizations on exercise design activities. Candidate will serve as SME for SOF plans for military service component and joint partners for assigned exercises. Candidate will operate in multidisciplinary teams of industry, government and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, scientists, and aircrew.

Qualifications

Candidate should have at least 20 years of operational experience and 5 years of experience working with USSOCOM and JSOC including 5 years of experience working in AFSOC (or service equivalent) units. Candidate must have experience providing support for large force exercises on the NTTR.

Candidate must have recent experience (within the past 3 years) with JSOC and SOCOM operations. 5 years of experience working with sensitive compartmented information (SCI) is required. This position will require a strong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills. Candidate must possess expertise to conduct effective liaison with national-level agencies, DoD, Services, Combatant Commands, and intelligence agencies.

The successful candidate will have good analytic skills and be capable of operating in a demanding environment while handling multiple tasks simultaneously. The candidate must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to provide briefings to CAF warfighters and staff officers at a senior instructor. Candidate must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

Desired Skills:

The JIFC-DAD QRT will develop, test and validate joint concept of employment (CONEMP) and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) to integrate directed energy weapons in the air defense joint fires process. Test Engineer duties will include providing research, test design and analysis planning using advanced systems engineering principles and statistical methods, exercise planning and JT detailed test plan development. M&S SME duties include research of appropriate M&S tools; coordinating verification, validation and accreditation of M&S used during the project; and monitoring of M&S performance throughout the JT. CONUS travel will be required. The QRT will be located at Nellis AFB, NV. This position requires a Master's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience. The selected candidate must have demonstrated leadership experience and detailed knowledge of and experience with Test and Evaluation (T&E) including test design and statistical analysis. The candidate must be proficient with the use of the Microsoft Office family of software including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Support experience with previous JT&E projects is highly desired. Operations Research and System Analysis (ORSA) degree/training or completion of a Service-Accredited Operations Research course is desired.
