Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineering Manager 3 in our Aerospace Sector in Palmdale, California. The selected candidate will lead and manage a team of diverse engineering disciplines in subsystems designs and installations.
This includes working with relevant manufacturing disciplines, systems test, quality and vehicle engineering design teams. The selected candidate requires hands on experience with various subsystems installations to include, but not limited to, electrical routings, fluid systems installations, environmental control systems, avionics installations, vehicle management components and crew accommodations; with material review board experience with repairs and engineering change activity to support discrepancies. Must be willing to work in a classified environment, have a schedule and success driven attitude, motivate and inspire the team while providing surge support as required.
ABET accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline
Minimum 12 years of experience leading teams in the definition and execution of design and installation activities.
Experience in managing an engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT) performing contract SOW tasks with responsibility for the planning, execution and technical performance.
Must have a current active DoD Secret Clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
Experience with the integration of subsystems in composite support structures, bonded subsystems support structures, basic knowledge and limitations of composite structures.
Recent experience in a SAP environment.
