The Sustainable Transportation and Communities Division (STCD) is recruiting for an Air Resources Supervisor (ARS) I to manage the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Infrastructure Section within the Advanced Clean Cars Branch (ACCB). The mission of ACCB is to foster a sustainable market for zero and ultra-clean emission light-duty vehicle technologies through regulations and market supporting polices. The ZEV Infrastructure Section is responsible for developing and implementing infrastructure-related policies to support passenger vehicle electrification markets, including actions to support the ZEV Regulation.

Under direction from the chief of the ACCB, the ARS I of the ZEV Infrastructure Section mentors staff and reviews staff work products. Section projects primarily involve technical, environmental, and economic assessments of electric charging and hydrogen station networks, as well as fuel cell electric vehicles. Section projects also include actions to improve the interaction between ZEVs and their associated infrastructure such as standardizing vehicle communication with electric charging equipment and providing technical support for development of equipment to ensure the quality of dispensed hydrogen fuel. The ARS I also oversees staff team interaction with other government agency partners especially the California Energy Commission, building code development agencies, interaction with industry stakeholders, as well as research contracts. An important part of the ARS I role will be project management and adherence to project timelines, and to coordinate closely with the other sections in the branch to support vehicle regulatory programs.
