SUMMARY:

The Air Quality Specialist I will be involved in providing comprehensive air permitting and compliance support at client site(s) in and around El Dorado, Arkansas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.

  • 0 - 2 years of experience.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.

  • Possess the ability to coordinate and work effectively in a team setting.

  • EI certification, preferred.

  • Familiarity with P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and plot plans is a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the preparation of annual compliance reports.

  • Assist with the preparation of routine Clean Air Act reports.

  • Assist with creating, reviewing, and editing compliance plans.

  • Assist with review of management of change requests, as needed.

  • Assist with air compliance training.

  • Conduct air emissions calculations.

  • Conduct state and federal regulatory applicability analyses for industrial processes.

  • Assist with state and federal regulatory compliance evaluations.

  • Assist with facility inspections/audits/sampling.

  • Prepare air permit applications.

  • Provide as needed support as directed by the facility's environmental team and the Providence project manager.

  • Adhere to all safety and confidentiality requirements set forth by Providence and clients of Providence.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to travel frequently and on short notice.

  • Ability to walk long distances.

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

  • Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain, sometimes for extended periods of time.
