Job Description

National Engineering consulting firm that works with private and pubic sector clients to address new ventures and complex problems involving our environment, natural resources and civil infrastructure is seeking an Air Quality Engineer for their Southern California Market. Individuals will prepare analyses supporting carbon and climate change programs, environmental impact assessments, regulatory analysis and permitting, and compliance solutions. Your role will also involve decarbonization pathway analyses including developing carbon reduction feasibility and cost analysis, and life cycle analysis modeling for various projects, products, and operations. You will develop air quality permit applications under new source review, prevention of significant deterioration, Title V, and state-level regulations, as well as conduct air quality impact analysis involving dispersion modeling and health risk assessments. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary project teams will be a key part of your role.

Hard Skills

• 5+ years of air quality experience on the consultant or agency side

• 5+ years of permitting experience with construction permits and federal permits

• Experience with compliance and sustainability

• 3+ years of experience with chemical engineering concepts such as chemical process calculations and mass transfer

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar

Work Site

This is a hybrid position. Individual can work out of either the Orange County, Pasadena, or San Diego Offices.

Additional Information:

• Compensation: $120,000 to $160,000 per year

• Yearly performance bonus + Employee Stock Option Program
