The Vacuum Truck Driver drives and operates the Vacuum Truck to clear for utilities with air or water knife, perform pressure grouting per county regulations and specs, haul and unload various field related fluids and soil. All duties of the Vacuum Truck Driver are to be performed consistent with Company and Regulatory health, safety, and environmental requirements. All Driver duties are to comply with company and customer operating procedures to maximize the safety of all personnel at the work site and to efficiently perform the task.
Perform pressure grouting of wells of various sizes per local regulatory specifications
Know how to use concrete saw cutter and jackhammer. Have basic knowledge of concrete finishing
Complete accurate documents and records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, such as records of fuel purchases, IDVRs and mileage reports
Comply with company policies, federal, state and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
Must have an understanding of basic maintenance concepts as required to diagnose, report and perform light to medium vehicle repairs as necessary. The use of hand tools and other equipment associated with the vehicle is required
Position requires various types and levels of job-related training with respect to the operation of the equipment, company operating procedures and other specialized training required by regulatory agencies and the company
Wear all PPE required for every specific job task
Report all safety issues, incidents/accidents/damage and concerns to company supervision
Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervision
Adhere to company policies and work requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of tractor-trailer and equipment safety
Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements
Ability to read, write and speak English to the extent needed to understand as well as give verbal and written instructions
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions using whole numbers, fractions and decimals (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) to make job-related calculations
Ability to operate a tractor-trailer and related equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Ability to complete company and customer required job forms and documents (work permits, JSAs, incident reports, Waybills/Bill of Lading)
Must be able to lift < /> 50 lbs to shoulder height as necessary as well as be able to push or pull similar amount of weight in handling hoses and other tools as dictated by the job task
