Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Systems Engineering Manager to support Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance\Phantom Works Program. This position will directly report to the BGS Product Support Program Manager / Integrated Product Team (IPT) leader for Product Support, indirectly report to the BDS Program Manager, and will be a member of the BGS Product Support IPT leadership team.

This position will plan, organize and direct all activity for design, development, fabrication and delivery of the Maintenance Management System (MMS) Statement of Work supporting the integration of the Maintenance Management System activity with the Ground Segment. A successful candidate will have familiarity with development, integration and production maintenance management system hardware and software, as well as technical planning and cost/schedule management. As Product Team Manager, the successful candidate will hold RAA (responsibility, accountability and authority) to complete a portion of the MMS team statement of work and deliverables for the program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and perpetuate a team culture of transparency, collaboration and inclusion

  • Develop, track and communicate metrics to quantify technical and business performance, and organize all cost account management and analysis for the maintenance management system team

  • Establish and execute team operating rhythm and integrate with program operating rhythm to align teammates and efficiently disseminate information/direction

  • Establish strong relationships with program customers and stakeholders. Orchestrate collaborative sessions, facilitating discussions among government customers, pilots, and product engineers to refine program requirements and enhance product designs

  • Guide and mentor cross-functional teams to drive innovation in the development of Maintenance Management Systems Support solutions

  • Plan, organize, direct and ensure technical excellence of all work associated with Maintenance Management Systems contracted requirements, hardware and software deliverables

  • Proactively perform risk, issue and opportunity management

  • Provide managerial and technical leadership in the development of Maintenance Management Systems, Technical Design Reviews, Engineering Design practices, and Model Based Systems Engineering Development

  • Provide managerial leadership in steering the development of Secure DevSecOps software pipelines for the streamlined delivery of ground systems capabilities ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in achieving established goals

  • Provide technical subcontract management for all Maintenance Management System supplier activities

  • Strategize and implement product portfolio planning, including the development of product and capability roadmaps

  • Work closely with all applicable functions and other program product teams to provide necessary people/skills, facility and information technology resources to execute statement of work according to cost and schedule commitments

  • Work with applicable subject matter experts to define Maintenance Management System integration with Ground Segment technical approaches and ensures adherence to applicable engineering standards and processes

  • Ability to accomplish results through non-management employees who may or may not exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments. Often heads a work unit. Assignments are often task or activity oriented.

  • Skilled in advising a work unit regarding tasks, projects and operations. Actively involved in daily operations only when required to meet schedule or resolve complex problems. Directly manages non-management employees in daily operations

Security Clearance:

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) with ability to receive special program access (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and 5 or more years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 or more years' related work experience)

  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing Military projects and/or teams

  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners

  • Able to travel a minimum of 5% of the time

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location site, Hazelwood MO.

This position is contingent upon award.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $137,700 - $186,300
