Aide - Rehabilitation Services PD Days

Overview

The Rehab Aide I performs assigned non-patient care duties and patient care duties under the direct supervision of a registered therapist at all times. The Aide assists registered therapists in routine treatment of rehabilitation, acute or outpatients in assigned discipline(s). The Aide I works primarily in one discipline (e.g.

OT or PT or TR) and/or area (e.g. Acute, Rehab, Outpatient). The Aide does not interpret orders, evaluate patients, or develop treatment programs. The Rehab Aide reports to the Staff and/or Senior Staff Occupational/ Physical or Recreational Therapist or Therapy Manager. The Rehab Aide I is not responsible for supervising other positions.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

College level student or graduate with some experience in working with people ; or enrolled in a professional education program leading to a PT/ PTA/ OT/ OTA/SLP or other Allied Health professional school. Motivation to seek further education; good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills; demonstrated maturity and responsibility.

Current BCLS Card (AHA) and maintain.
