We’re looking for an AI Sales Engineer (aka The Solution Architect) to engage with clients, provide technical expertise, and design AI-driven solutions that meet their unique needs.

As an AI Sales Engineer at our client, you’ll collaborate closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to craft compelling AI solutions for prospective clients. You’ll be the go-to technical expert in customer discussions, helping clients understand the value of AI, demonstrating capabilities, and ensuring that the proposed solutions are aligned with their goals. Your ability to communicate the benefits of AI technologies and tailor them to client challenges will be crucial to driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with Clients to Understand Needs:
    • Work with clients to understand their business objectives, technical requirements, and pain points. You’ll assess how AI solutions can be customized to meet their specific needs and deliver value.
  2. Design Tailored AI Solutions:
    • Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to design AI-driven solutions that fit client use cases. You’ll map out how AI technologies—such as machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision—can address customer challenges and create a detailed solution roadmap.
  3. Deliver Technical Demos and Presentations:
    • Provide technical demonstrations of AI products and platforms, showcasing how the solutions work and how they’ll address client needs. You’ll translate complex AI concepts into easy-to-understand, impactful presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  4. Collaborate with Sales Teams:
    • Partner with the sales team to provide technical expertise throughout the sales process. You’ll help develop proposals, participate in client meetings, and ensure that the AI solutions proposed align with client goals and are technically feasible.
  5. Respond to RFPs and RFIs:
    • Craft detailed responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), outlining technical capabilities, AI solution designs, and implementation plans that meet client requirements.
  6. Provide Post-Sales Support:
    • Support the client onboarding and implementation process by working with the delivery and engineering teams. You’ll ensure a smooth handoff from the sales cycle to implementation, helping resolve any technical challenges that arise during deployment.
  7. Stay Current with AI Innovations:
    • Keep up with the latest trends in AI and machine learning technologies, ensuring that your knowledge is up-to-date. You’ll share this knowledge with clients and the internal team to inform product development and sales strategies.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • AI and Machine Learning Expertise: Strong understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision. You can explain technical concepts clearly and apply them to real-world business challenges.
  • Sales Engineering Skills: Experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’re skilled at uncovering client needs and aligning AI solutions with their business goals.
  • Presentation and Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex AI technologies into clear, compelling client presentations. You can easily navigate between detailed technical discussions and high-level business conversations.
  • Solution Design and Problem Solving: Expertise in designing AI-driven solutions tailored to client use cases. You’re skilled at problem-solving and can create detailed technical roadmaps that show how AI will deliver value.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams. You can collaborate effectively to develop solutions, respond to client needs, and drive successful outcomes.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience in AI sales engineering or technical consulting is also highly valued.
  • Certifications or additional coursework in AI, machine learning, or data science are a plus.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, with hands-on experience designing AI solutions and working with clients in a technical capacity.
  • Proven track record of helping close sales deals by providing technical expertise, solution designs, and engaging in customer discussions.
  • Experience with cloud-based AI platforms and tools (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hands-on experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn is highly desirable.
